APA screwed our very own sleinen out of a national championship

A fair point to be certain, and I have an issue with my LO as well as the way the situation was handled at the tourney. My main concern honestly is the players on my team who play on 4 different APA teams and center much of their life and friends on this will now be banned for 2 years. A nine...

APA screwed our very own sleinen out of a national championship

I'd argue that the equalizer handicap system is (or should be) assigning the proper handicap if the player is not sandbagging, dumping or whatever. I don't know how my players will show up at a national level, we've never competed there before. To expect that I will guess that my players will...

APA screwed our very own sleinen out of a national championship

No roster changes Hi folks, A couple more clarifications: The roster had zero changes from session, local playoffs, regionals and vegas. Sean was never coaching or in the arena etc. he was either in the stands with friends and family or playing minis. I don't believe the rule of two players...

APA screwed our very own sleinen out of a national championship

Our side of the story Hey all, I’m actually the captain of the team that was disqualified. Just landed back home and when I can get to a laptop in a few hours I’ll post what happened and clarify more. Wanted to check in now to maybe prevent speculation and bad info. A couple quick points...

    WTT: Looking for fancy Exceed

I'm looking for a fancy Mezz Exceed with a wavy joint and colorful inlays. Shafts not necessary. I have a handful of predator cues, an existing Mezz Exceed with neo-cork wrap, Robert Harris Custom and other cues I could trade along with cash for the right cue. b

APA Captains - throw or defer?

Persuasive... This is a very persuasive argument for throwing out first, and the one I see the most. Appreciate the input :) b

APA Captains - throw or defer?

Interesting, wouldn't this indicate that you should defer? Surely it's better to respond then throw out? b

APA Captains - throw or defer?

Interesting discussion.... Does your response change if you have a new player, who comes in as a four but will quickly be going up to a 6 probably has his true SL? Controlling this players match feels really important to me as I'm trying to get us qualified in this session. The other teams...

APA Captains - throw or defer?

Is there an argument for this? Thanks for your response :) I'd like to invite another captain who prefers to defer the toss to argue with you if that's alright, lol. I don't know enough to form a really solid argument in this case, but the longtime captains who defer might have some...

    Predator Revo Shafts

Love it Been playing with a 12.9 for about 6 month now and I love it. My one concern was how difficult it might be to change the tip myself on a small lathe. I finally replaced it today and it really wasn't a big deal. Just took my time. b

APA Captains - throw or defer?

Question for the seasoned APA captains. If you win the toss, do you prefer to throw out the first player, or have our opponent do so and in what scenarios? I am a fairly new captain, and I'm finding I want to defer so I am 'responding' to more matchups; however there are many folks who argue...

    Keeping your chalk moist

This is a great tip thanks. I love Azb - long thread filled with nonsense, pseudo-science and a few actual useful tips.. My kind of place :) b

    Keeping your chalk moist

Thank you - this is along the lines of what I was thinking. I'd have to imagine it last longer than a carrot, however it doesn't look as vegan. b

    Keeping your chalk moist

Hmmm, I do tend to keep it warm down there.. I'm going to do some experiments and see what variables are effecting this. The thread is 5 pages so clearly the pool world must know. b

How much does your shot selection change based on where you are in the set?

Interesting Great responses thanks again... I'd have to say it's a combination of losing focus and actively changing my shot selection. I do this too much and need to start looking at it differently in that situation. Good discussion, b

How much does your shot selection change based on where you are in the set?

Thanks for the responses all, this is what I'm dealing with. It can't be tiredness because it happens in the first match of a tournament as well as the later rounds when I make it that far. I guess it's laziness / carelessness although I try to be aware of that and stay focused... My best guess...

How much does your shot selection change based on where you are in the set?

Let's say you are up 4-0 in a race to 6, do you shoot more aggressively or try to maintain the same strategy that got you there? What if you were the one down 0-4? Lastly, does the length of the race also factor in for you? Thanks for your 2 cents :) I'm struggling lately with allowing people...
