RIP Dick, Listened to the interview . There was an old road horse right there, and a library of pool info that he had gleaned from his time's. . His talking of scuffling around the gulf states brought back a lot of time's also

    Funny Pool Stories

Steve Carter and Bob Ogburn are down in Jacksonville. Ogburn has Sam Bluminthal giving up the 7 . Bob is betting high and is laying down, or so he said. Carter told him to start stretching out. At the end of it all, Carter told Bob that he'd never seen some one lay down till they was broke. Sam...

    pt109 Has A Crazy Side

Have noticed, when shooting the 8 across table with draw,,the 8 is in reality a black hole just sitting out there waiting for a collision. Then the colliding ball is pulled along with the black hole 8 and instead of all the draw on the cue ball. Now when the 8 comes into the area around a...

Best Hustling Lines / Moves When You Enter a Poolroom

Number of times, someone would be asking me for the 8,,and I knew that I could slaughter them with it . Told them, I'd give em the last 3 balls on the table, they would jump on that all the time, they had no chance. The 8 was more weight , than the last 3. That 6 ball game and the break Jay...

The Clock Drill / forced creativity

I'll have to try that there little drill. To add, must have been in my late teens when I discovered a way to get close to,center English, or closer that what I thought was center. When looking at the cue ball, the light above the table will only show the top side of the ball, center ball hit...

Identifying Players in Old BW Group Picture

Still wondering if the gent on the left is Slamming Sammy Sneade. It sure does look like him. Friend of mine (who has now past away) was one of Sneade's best'est friends and toured around with Sammy when they were young and out hustling the golf world,,sorta a coincidence they had to do that to...

    Surgery ,,Oh No

Have really known that this was coming. I gave up golf a few years back, because of the right shoulder going out. The health care insurance I had before being 65 was 17,000 buck deductible along with 1,400 bucks a month. That really kept me from getting this done earlier . Ran a 137 in straight...

    Roll-out ( 2 fouls, ball in hand )

I agree with Tim, we didn't kick at balls for our dough,,,! Push out brought the cream to the top quickly. Player can get lucky in one shot foul and win the match, two shot foul and the better player will show more quickly.
