    Warren Kiamcool

I think it is also because he's Filipino and he's just lost in the sea of great players. If he was from the US or Canada (or lots of other places where the talent is not as deep) he'd be way more appreciated.

Mike had me until he suggested that Canadians were not inherently better at hockey! Blasphemy!

    CSI BCAPL Changes Hands

Are you calling Ozzy a pile of fertilizer??? lol. Sorry to see Mark step back - not because Ozzy will be bad, but because Mark is one of the great guys in the game and his presence will be missed.

Nice out. But now I have to ask: What is the deal with the maple leaf (on your shirt and other's)? As a Canadian, my eye is always caught by that symbol!

How does the poolhall(s) you play most at deal with bangers?

Two thoughts; 1. To the people that suggested you had nothing to apologize for, I agree but if the customers were clueless and not ill-intentioned and then genuinely upset, it is also up to Chris to determine if he wants to keep the customers. It is a business and I completely respect the...

    Stats -- 2018 Big Dog One-Pocket Championship, June 2018

Am I reading this right that the breaker won less than 50 percent of the matches? I thought the break was a significant advantage in 1p?

Can you ID the people in the photos? I think I see Ron Shepard and Deno Andrews (and Lou) but beyond that I'm at a loss.

That was a fun read. I agree with Mika.

Also in the small world department, Mrs. Hamster (Dave Malone's wife, Ortelia) has also played in the same league (and on my team at the time). And for those curious, here are some photos from two RSB GWN (Great White North) events in Toronto. http://proislebruce.freeservers.com/photo.html...

Home 7ft Tables — other than Diamond

I agree that Diamond is a mile ahead of anyone else in the 7' market, but "tied for last" is a bit harsh. To answer the OP's question, I think a Valley with aftermarket Ridgeback Pros and Simonis 860 is a good table and the best "second choice". I have one configured like that and I like it.

World FargoRate ranking: changes in past year

Out curiosity, when you have two players with the same rating, like Shaw and Wu, what makes one higher on your list (as opposed to tied for 2nd, for example)? Is it based on decimals we don't see?

WPA Racking Rules: 8 Ball vs. Blackball

Nice to know, because this is how I rack every time it matters and I've wondered whether one might say I was impermissibly pattern racking.

    The Triangle Rack

Bob, Is there a best practice for how to train the table? I'd hate to do it wrong if I'm going to try it at home.

    Hustlers be a hustlin'

I recall stories of Corey just torturing some excellent players when using the rake for every shot. The report I remember was that Corey played quite close to the same speed with the bridge than he does normally. Does anyone have the details of that? Am I mis-remembering? As an aside, I...

    9 Ball WPA Rules Question

I know this doesn't answer your question, but it is hard for me to imagine how it would ever be a player's advantage to intentionally foul on the break in 9b, given the standard response (described by Bob earlier).

    Hustlers be a hustlin'

John had not made the switch permanent at the time or played in any events in the US lefty and I don't think Ronnie knew how well John played lefty.

    Congratulations, The Lion!

How well was Alex playing? well, out of three events he lost one match. He won the 10b and 9b events undefeated and won the hotseat in the 8b event, but lost his only match to Jason Klatt.
