Warren has been and will be one of my favorite players of all time. This man is so good at getting out of his small mistakes and really good at not making huge mistakes. Warren shoots at the perfect speed, he takes his time but decides his direction and goes with it. The warrior shoots a simple game but can go Rodney Morris style(multi rail shape) with such ease.

Warren just knocked another big tourney and did it with class. Scott Frost is calling him the "Ninja".

I always wonder what he is like as a person, I have only been around him once and was to intimidated to speak to him. It is hard to describe just how amazing the mans game is.

In case he ever reads the forum....Thanks for all the years you spent amazing me.

Thanks Daniel and Scott for the first West State Billiards: Freezer's Icehouse 1-Pocket and 10-Ball Challenge.

Warren is a class act at all times. I've never heard him speak bad about anyone and he always takes the high road in disputes. He is a gentleman both on and off the table! Plus, he may be playing the best pool of his life right now. He won the Ten Ball just now at Freezer's Ice House in convincing fashion, 13-5 over Omer. I think he won like six or seven matches in a row on the loser's side over one champion after another! :thumbup2:

I had the opportunity to meet him (04? 05?), care of azbro, bayawak.

Quiet, humble, brutal to play.

That is one bad dude, one of my favorites too.

Nice post.

Just because he can play quite slowly, I wouldn't say Warren is one of my favorites, but he's a player I admire a lot.

What I like best about him is his dedication at the table in the decision making aspects of the game. Very quietly, Warren is one of the best few shot designers in the world, and we'll forgive him if he's a half notch below Efren, Alex and Orcullo in this respect. After all, so is everyone else!

At the table, Warren is dedicated and meticulous and he's a player you can learn a lot from.

And I'd add that his temperament is enviable- I doubt he ever smashed a stick!

I watched him play in Norfolk in the days that followed the meeting I shared earlier in this thread. Warren was playing a raulston, and every time Warren touched the ball, things got worse, literally. One of those days, for the guy.

He maintained composure and dealt with it, but his eyes screamed, 'Oh Ma Gawd, what is this?'.

Warren has never got the recognition he deserves, partly because he finishes 2nd, 3rd or 4th in so many stacked tournaments! He’s a giant slayer!! In 15 years of watching him play tourney s and gambling, he is a class act!

I think it is also because he's Filipino and he's just lost in the sea of great players. If he was from the US or Canada (or lots of other places where the talent is not as deep) he'd be way more appreciated.

I don't remember who it was, but some big name player commentating a Warren match said that Warren does the most with the cueball with the least amount of effort. He seems to be finishing high in tournaments now more than he did a decade ago.

He just took a little longer to get used to American gas

Kiamco has a more upright stance than most of today's players. Reminds me a bit of Irving Crane.

Another thing - he maintains the same demeanor throughout the match. You can't tell whether he is winning or losing based upon his demeanor. Probably a positive trait in a long tournament or set.

His style is sort of a filipino/old school taiwanese hybrid.

Been a fan since watching him barbecue bartram gambling years ago (even though i was pullling for bartram.)

He exhibited some irritation on quite a few of his flubbed shots yesterday. Sort of level 1 irritation on a scale from 1 to 10. :)
