I learned that one the hard way. Lost a close friend that I had known 15 plus years over money. Nowadays, I almost never lend money without collateral unless I don't expect to get it back. I've ended up with a few cues that way. I've even "sold" a few of them back to the original owner...

A brush and saddle soap is where I would start. Then, use a conditioner like Leather Honey.

I've shot both. Supposedly, the Vantage is stiffer that the 314-3. No difference in how it hit to me, but I shoot with a 12.9 Revo usually so take that for what it's worth.

I have a couple of these. They work well. Edited to add: Usually, anything that fits a modern Viking cue fits a Joss as well.

I'm 6'4", so I prefer either closer to the butt cap or wrapless on a standard length cue. It doesn't really bother me though if it's a standard wrap, I just find myself gripping the butt sleeve on quite a few shots. One day, I'll get a custom 60" or 62" cue made to see if I like that better or...

I would agree with this if it was an OB-1. The OB-1 was a bit higher deflection than the 314 shafts I had at the time. I kept the pre-cat and 314-2 out of the bunch.
