As a matter of fact, the local cue shop did recommend the OB shaft. but i felt the power I got from the P3 has greatly diminished. it's like I need to work extra hard for shots that I could do easily with my 314.. Not sure if I explain this right.....

thanks I am currently using kamui soft. It still feels too stiff. I am going to try triangle tips next but I think the stiffness comes from the ashwood core predator uses for the butt. Was kinda hoping that the first gen shaft will help reduce that stiffness.

Does fitting a first generation 314 shaft on my P3 makes the hit a little softer? Current shaft is the 3142 that came with the P3. I find the hit too hard sometimes and over ran shape. Will it help if I get myself a first gen 314 shaft? I tried searching the forums but did not come up with...

Does anyone knows if the older 314 with cat logo (not 3142) is made in USA?

Anyone knows if the BK2 ferrule can be used to replace the 3142 ferrule? will it be a perfect fit and plays the same?

Not to discredit Chang Yu-Lung, in my opinion, the magic rack is killing the game. I am seeing more controlled breaks from pros which leads to more break and runs as the magic rack practically guarantees the wing ball in. My 2 cents only, please do not flame me.

nice, thanks for the advice. Breaking from the center sounds like a good place to start to learn how to stop the white ball. I did tried breaking softer from the middle just to get the feel of it, but it just won't kill....:angry: lol, something is missing from the equation..

I finally found some time to play today with my new break stick I did not find success in parking the whitey in the center. It always come back to the kitchen if I hit at center or a tip below center. Tried to correct this by adding a shade of follow, it went rushing towards the end rail...

This is why I hate those 3142, they play great but the quality of their ferrules are like crap. I replaced my ferrule twice and they do not seem to last very long.

Btw, nice shooting :) You don't miss much and play good shape.

Thanks Richie, I will try that with slower speed first, and gradually progress to a faster speed and then finally to the side of the table. Will post the outcome when i find the sweet speed/stroke. I got myself a new break stick coming this week, I can hardly wait.. :)

wow, this is deeper that I thought. If I am reading this correctly, with high english, with the correct speed whitey should stop. If I use low english, whitey must bounce a little towards the 1 ball. A video will be most appreciated. I practiced a bit 2 days ago, the only time i managed to...
