I own a 2002 Varney hustler and I'm quite happy with it. I bought it second hand so I've never done business with him directly. It upsets me very much to read about his poor attitude towards some customers! I hope this somehow works out for all of them!

I think it depends on the pin. If you have a 5-16/18 with a brass insert in the shaft, I don't think you'll need a collar. But with a big pin into wood, I would'nt go without one.
