THIS CUE IS ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT IN PERSON. NOT ONLY UNIQUE AND BEAUTIFULL, BUT IT HITS LIKE A MACK TRUCK. PAUL OUTDID HIMSELF WITH THIS PLAYERS CUE.

That is amazing. it reminds me of the Chinese art of doing ivory balls. In china there are a few artisans left who carve ivory balls inside of ivory balls like this http://www.flickr.com/photos/gserafini/475327044/

Hits a ton? Although cues are functional art - this is one I would make an exception for and just display it for fear of dropping it. I would never want to swing that butt out of my eyesight.

:-)

Cue

Jb....hits A Ton......just Staying With All The Ghiberish I See On A Lot Of These Posts.....it Keeps It Fun For Me Hahahahahahah

Congratulations in obtaining that unbelievably beautiful cue. Paul Rubino is an amazing craftsman. He is in a class by himself.

Wow

WOW and WOW again. That cue belongs in a museum. I would be too afraid to hit balls with it. What kind of wood is that in the forearm ?

STEVE

This is the funniest thing I've heard all morning!

Beautiful: Without a doubt

Player's cue:

I have to admit I'm kind of torn with this one...

Tikkler your collection is second to none, so I mean you no disrespect. I'm just saying that to put all that work into the butt sleeve, and then to do nothing more than just a few ivory lines on the forearm just seems a little weak on Paul's part. Anybody that could do that kind of work in the butt, is also capable of doing something phenomenal with the front.

I can see that he was just trying to keep the front low profile and attract more attention to the butt, but I think he went a little too low pro on it.

The ivory work is stellar, no doubt about it. I just really wish he would have tried a little harder on the front.

I'm with you. The forearm just looks out of place after what the butt sleeve looks like. It looks like he was ready to get rid of it after all the other work to the butt section. If it had Ivory points or even some of the same work there, that would be the ultimate cue. Now dont get me wrong, that work is something I've never seen before. Truly amazing.

An ivory cage for the elephant: how poignant.

What he should've done is mirrored the ivory cage in the forearm, right above the wrap. You know, make it even more of a "player's cue."

Spectacular cue

Steve,
You have some awesome cues"
This is very special,
That cue should be in a museum

STEVE THE PICTURES ARE FANTASTIC, BUT THEY DO THE WORK IN THIS CUE NO JUSTICE. I'VE SEEN THIS CUE IN PERSON SEVERAL TIMES, AND THE DEPTH AND INTRACACY OF THE WORK IS AMAZING.

Great Cue!

Hey what would something like that set you back? If you would sell it, what would you ask for? (my wife likes elephants) LOL

Huge cue. I remember Gorgeous George bringing the butt sleeve to Valley Forge, It was so delicate, he wouldn't let anyone touch it, lol.

Love it to bits. Paul is a crazy New Yorker.
