New its 2/3 down but remember it has to be shaped after its installed....After it is shaped its half way...I took a picture to show it but it says picture too large... Believe me after pro shop put it on and shaped it it's half way... I appreciate the quick answers....

I have the Cuetec carbon fiber, it comes with a Sniper tip.....There is a black layer in the middle of tip...Does it mean to replace tip when it reaches black layer or can black layer be used?? I've asked serval players and pro shop that put it on and no one seems to know..

I had several 1st Gen 314's and no black pad or anything between tip and ferrule....Never had one to crack either..Had a friend that broke with his and it never cracked..

I love mine. Works really great...Keeps cue safe from falling..

I have this cue also..It has same tip as Lucasi which is a Bakelite tip...Holds chalk and jumps easy...

Pro white is 61.8 hardness... White is 61.8.

Your right....The leather is thicker and has a deeper cut than for linen....
