Rare bird 93 Schon 31” shaft

Here are some better pics of the joint and the ferrules. Everything looks right for a stock shaft from 93 to me. One thing I just thought of, there was a great shop here in Gresham, Billiards N Bagels years ago. Jim Oswald had an impressive selection, upwards of 50 different cue makers cues...

Rare bird 93 Schon 31” shaft

Highly unlikely. Generally when a collar is swapped onto a new shaft, the pilot does not go with the collar. Schon has a very distinct linen sleeve over the pilot. I had a 30” stitch ring shaft with a micarta ferrule years ago, so I know that Bob and eventually Evan would do such things...

Interesting joint on a snooker cue

I picked this up the other day as I play snooker once in a blue moon and the cue was pretty cheap. What is interesting is the joint pin. I haven’t had a chance to use it yet, so I have no idea of the hit, but the delrin pilot is interesting. I searched high and low on the webs but I could...

Rare bird 93 Schon 31” shaft

I picked up a 93 Schon LTD last month, a rather simple LTD, that came with two shafts. Both Shafts have the logo in the joint collar. One of the shafts is 31”, is a full 13mm and plays surprisingly well. I’ve had half a dozen or so Schons over the years, an old R-6 and an old R-10 among them...

    Cue ID

I don’t think I’ve seen brass rings in a Taiwanese cue. The pin is a short 5/16x18.

    Vintage leather case ID

The bottom is like an old Palmer tube case. The case is actually round on the bottom and flattened on the top.

Bert Schrager Classic 6-Point Unsigned Cue.. Seeking Info

I'm still looking online for it. What did pay? Not enough. Did they know what they had? No. Though I did not know what I had either. I thought it was either a Tad or a Martin. I forgot that Bert and Tad both apprenticed under Martin.

Bert Schrager Classic 6-Point Unsigned Cue.. Seeking Info

I don't. I bought it in 2021. Apparently it was a raffle at a local elks back in the early 90's and it was old at that point. I had found an old catalog online that I can't seem to find at the moment, but based on the design it is Bert's homage to Martin. I think it may have been a...

    Brunswick Joss Or Not

As far as I know, Falcon did not make cues at the Joss facility, though there was a partnership between them when they created Tyler cues in Canada.

    Help identifying unknown cues

Not sure. I saw the guy post these on Reddit before he posted them on eBay. Sorry that I pushed your bid up in the last 10 seconds. Due to the large outer veneer, it makes me feel it was a one off or first time builder. I have a feeling it is super stiff and plays great for billiards.

    Brunswick Joss Or Not

As far as I know, Joss did not put out sharp point cues for themselves or for Brunswick in the 80’s or 90’s. Some of the east 80’s had sharp inner points within a CNC’d point.

    Brunswick Joss Or Not

Prior to Chen meeting with Joss, he made Mohawk cues. I think Ernie only made them for year or two. Here is my Falcon made Brunswick.

    ID this cue?

That is a Mali with a custom G10 pin. It originally came with a steel 3/8x10 pin. The one I had was very stiff and played like an 80's McDermott.
