Defy shaft is junk. I tried to get McDermott to warranty the one I had, and they wanted $150 to resurface it. I declined and sold on eBay as quickly as I could. Will never own another McDermott product again.

I agree, but would add one modifier, I really like the pre-war titlist with the softer veneer colors. The ones from the 50's and 60's, the colors in the veneers pop so hard at times it almost looks like one of the Schmelke/Adam versions until you can zoom in and see the stack up close.

I kind of agree with their logic to a point... When you get some of these two dyed ringtail and python wraps that are so garish and over the top it very much detracts from the main show. Ive bought a couple of cues out of China and Japan and everyone of the showed up with some god awful wrap...
