Great city Ottawa. Just booked my motel for August when the Buskers festival is on Sparks St. To keep this pool related. Ever seen the L shaped table at the Honest Lawyer?

You obviously never heard this one.
You make a lucky shot.
Your opponent says: "I can't believe how lucky you are." Or something similar.
You reply: "The more I practice, the luckier I get."
This line has been attributed to Jack Nicklaus,
Wish I said it first.
When the Sardo was first used on tour, Nikki (at the time Benish) could not place the rack in position and push down due to her stature. Steve Tipton had to rack for her. IIRC, she actually complained of back pain trying to use the Sardo.
What is a bar fight? Does that mean that whatever is in the bar at the time is can be used as a weapon? Does it mean fists only? Does it mean 1:1 only?
Paul Mon~~~dosen't believe in bar fights or fair fights? Figure that one out?
I somewhat agree. I got a whole lot more out of the first book. But I was fortunate enough to buy both in 1995 for $29 each. In fairness to the book and it's authors they comment on exactly what you pointed out about selling out.
"Winning One Pocket" & "Shots, Moves & Strategies" are two of the best one pocket books. Both out of print and expensive ($200+ ea) when you can find them on ebay. These books will significantly improve your game. I prefer "Winning One Pocket" and believe that you can not get this type of...
Actually you could do it easily every time with a sound activated shutter. We did just that a few weeks ago when it was the national "Take your child to work day". Had a camera set up with a sound activated shutter and gave the kids a ballon to break. Some priceless expressions.

Earl told me personally, and I love the words he used. "A cab driver can beat me breaking from the rail". Great players can be beat by good players playing great. What happened to Earl is 9 ball at it best (worst) anyone can win the short race.
Paul Mon~~~~has played great, but not a great...
shoot softly
After reading all the replies it’s surprising that nobody mentioned too much speed. Most bangers hit way too hard. IMO, some good (and I don’t use the term good lightly) players shoot too hard when a soft shot would suffice. I’m talking about pocket speed benefiting the object...
You got lots good advice from all, maybe even Randy G but the rest of us will never know. Here's my 2 cents worth. The short follow shot is where you'll have the greatest chance of skid occurring. This happens the most in 14.1 where these shots come up often.
PM me I will share some info...
Looks nice Russ. A couple of things I wonder about when seeing a garage conversion. Don't you have a basement that could be converted and where does all of the garage stuff go now?

So I’m in N. Carolina and went to Babineau’s Billiards for some pool and grub. Paul, the owner, gives me free table time and anyone who wants to can jump on the table. I’m playing this guy Rodney who shots pretty good and we trade a few games back and forth before he shows his real speed and...
IMO, if you are the better player you would still win most sets. 9 ball is full of luck, good and bad. My guess is that for all of his efforts in banging the 9 ball around he must leave some hanging that will be easy for you to pocket.
