    Jointed Cue

I couldn't go to the Jointed Cue tournament because my daughter was dancing in a Tahitian Fete competition. You gotta set your priorities right? Anyway, if anyone has info on it, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

    Where is Bucktooth?

One of the reasons the place was doing so well was that there was a big fish in there. Players were coming from all over to play him. This guy didn't mind losing $7,000 a week if he thought he might have a chance. Cole Dixon was there, a guy named San Diego Dave, etc. For some reason, the...

I'm sorry but I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to say.

    Where is Bucktooth?

I used to go into Tooth's place in Manteca right after he opened it. Tony Annigoni was his partner and he actually ran the place for the most part. After Tony left, Dominick, Tooth's son, ran the place. Dominick is a very nice guy too and nothing like his dad, i.e., he's not gregarious and he...

    What constitutes a bad hit?

Thank you. I will definitely show this to the other player. I play in a room where there are a lot of people that are not clear on the rules all the time, however, they are sticklers for the rules that they know. It will be helpful for all of them to have a better understanding of the rules...

    What constitutes a bad hit?

I was playing this guy this morning and he had a shot on the 8 ball (we were playing BCA rules 8 ball) and the cue ball was about 1/16" away from the 8 ball and both balls were in a direct line to the corner pocket. He shot the cue ball with his stick horizontally flat and shot through the cue...

What is the Better Instructor Value?

Going to an instructor is a good thing. If I were you, I'd look around and find someone that you feel you understand better. Someone who communicates with you so that you understand them. It won't do you any good no matter how much you pay if you can't understand the instructor.

    My LASIK adventure.

I had this same procedure done about 10 years ago. It had just become legal in the US when I had it done. The Dr that did mine had been doing them up in Canada for a while before it was legal to do it here. My eyes have regressed a little and I'm wearing glasses now. I had very poor vision...

    Hey Mr. Wilson!

Timberly, This last post by you is more than enough evidence that you are and should be an asset to this forum. Perhaps Mike and Dave will recognize that after reading your last post and will send you a positive PM asking you to stick around. Whatever the case is, I can only say again that...

    Hey Mr. Wilson!

Timberly, I haven't been on this forum for quite a while. When I stopped coming here, you and Don seemed to be friendly towards one another. I'm sorry to hear all this! Whether you participate in this forum or not is not the issue, the issue really is, would you want to participate if Don...

    In Defense of Mr. Wilson

SJM, I haven't been here in a long time now. I don't know what the deal is with Jimbo and I don't really care. Seems that things haven't really changed that much though. As usual, you wrote another exquisite post. The only thing that I would say is that AZ is not like a library the way I...

"The Checks are in the mail." Oh Dear...

I grew up in a small family business. We got a huge multimillion dollar company as a customer and we thought we hit the jackpot. They became our worst customer. They wanted everything for free and they always paid us very late. To this day I get pissed when big companies have the audacity...

    IPT sold to reputed "gangster"

Several on this site were bagging on KT when he first came up with this IPT saying that the players were going to get screwed. It doesn't look to me like the players got screwed at all. Now another rich man bought the tour and people are thinking the gravy train is over. The players have made...

    how good are jacoby cues?

I have a custom Jacoby that I've had for a couple of years and I love mine. Prior to purchasing the Jacoby, I played with a Joss West, a Meucci, a Stonier, a Shraeger, and a Pechauer. I like the Jacoby the best as far as playability is concerned.

A Pro Player opens his mouth......

I also think we put professional athletes and other celebrities on a pedestal and for what? Because they have some talent? Why should pro athletes be looked up to? They should be respected just for their talent but not as a human being. I saw 60 Minutes the other night and the did a peice...

    Best ever High Stakes player

Of course a "high stakes player" doesn't have to be a great player. I've heard that John Macias is a very good player for the big cash too.

    Best ever High Stakes player

I would say Efren, Jose, Buddy and Ronnie Allen.
