Replacement Commentator for Mike Sigel - No Tony Robles???

Tony would be great, but would they pay him to fly out and do it? I'm curious how Max's name got on that list. He doesn't have any commentating experience that I know of, and 14.1 most definitely not his best game (although he did do incredibly well at the 2006 14.1 WC). I guess his sheer...

    Glue for retipping

Hah, i thought I was the only one who had taken to the single-use tubes. They're perfect for the occasional tip replacement. The only tips I replace are my own, so I'm not a high-volume sorta guy. So for me, these work perfect. I've also used the Super Glue gel which works great.

    Opinions on APA 7 Speed

I think it's impossible to tell based on what you just posted. They were just *****ing and moaning because they're sore losers.

I might be all done with the league stuff

Tiago, there's always the race to 8 if you play a D+! Quit your team and join ours. We're short on players. This is your only solution! But really though, you just have to find your gear and the spot no longer matters. A couple weeks ago I played a B+, spotting me 1 on 7 (I'm a B). I...

Official AZ Player "Ghost Rating" Thread

Anyone else notice that cubc listed himself as playing the 9-ball ghost even? LOL

    Need Motivation. Help please.

Yeah totally, skill is irrelevant in 9-ball. I mean, if any banger played Efren the winner would be the person with the most rolls. This is a fact.

    Music when you practice?

Everyone's different. I see a lot of guys, both young and old, who listen to their MP3 player when they shoot. Me, I like to hear the click of the balls and the balls falling clean into the pocket (hopefully), even if just practicing alone.

Team 9 ball at Amsterdam Billiards NYC

Unless you're really good and want to play on my team! We're short on reliable players, and I've had to double-up the past two weeks in a row. $16 a night I can handle, but $32 means I'll be eating canned tuna for dinner all weekend.

The base of the problem with the sport

Oh lord, another one of these threads. When will people wake up and realize that pool's popularity has nothing to do with sharks/hustlers? When the Hustler came out, it gave pool a shot in the arm for a brief period. When The Color of Money came out it, it did just the same. And believe it...

Team 9 ball at Amsterdam Billiards NYC

I like playing in the league, because it gets me away from the crazies at Broadway Billiards. Then again, there seem to be more crazies at ABC but at least they're new to me. What I like is that it has gotten me away from playing the same people over and over. I don't know the guys at ABC so...

omgwtf vs cubc - I love it

On the table, for the cash, and in front of our very own eyes. I gotta say, I loved the drama of this all. I've watched the video a few times now, partly for the commentary when cubc did crazy things, "What the hell was that?!"

    Adjust...adjust my ass

It sounds like the other guy is trying to do the same thing. Can you really blame him? All you have to do is say, "No."

    bEST IN THE WEST

Sounds like a great tournament. Anyone know if Sal Butera might be able to make it? Hell of a player. I wish I were still back in LA to sweat it. I think if Max brings his A-game, he'll be the man to beat. But in terms of heart and sheer determination, Tang, Oscar, and Ernesto Dominguez...
