I wonder if anyone else feels this way...

Either way I'd probably end up shooting myself in the foot! :p As far as the OP...I'm the opposite. I have a 9' Diamond at the house and am used to playing on that rather than the smaller tables. I just figure I have to shoot 7/9ths as hard or fast in order to adjust! (Makes sense...

    pool room etiquette

A few days ago I started looking around for a "positive" thread to bump to the front of the forum because it had saddened me as to the amount of purely negative threads going on right now and I sincerely thought this thread (buried on page 103 with only a deleted first response) was what this...

Do Jacoby custom cues have much of a resale or trade value?

You're kind of doubling your work by posting this in the main forum then needing to post again in the W/FS section. You're asking people here to "guess" at what "might" be offered in trade. None of us will know with any amount of accuracy. What you could do (should do), is post it in the W/FS...

OMG...I completely forgot that. :( Any reputable cue maker should be able to accomplish the same thing though.

    Poor etiquette or sharking?

The OP stated the guy was "banging" a cue ball around on the next table...I'm taking it that he wasn't shooting with his cue...rather that the cue ball was being treated like a basketball. The first wouldn't particularly bother me...the latter on the other hand is poor etiquette the first time...

    History behind LD shafts

It definitely should have been nominated for post of the year whenever it was originally posted! It was very well written! So it was actually Allan's words posted by Mr. Wayne? If that's the case...well spoken Mr. McCarty...and well typed Mr. Wayne! ;) (Credit due where it's due... ;) )...

FS: Fancy Kenny Murrell - Lots of Inlays

I was the original owner of this cue. It was one of my all time favorite cues. Kenny was a pleasure to work with in the design process! Whoever ends up with this will have to wear a bib to catch the drool when you see it in person! Just my $0.02 :)

I love the looks of this cue. I had a Murrell that had a similar wood/veneer combination. Loved the look of that one too. Leon...great end result on this beauty!!! :)

Tascarella Silver Fullsplice Hoppe A modern twist... Just arrived

I had a Scruggs with silver inlays. I love that design element. It's a change from the usual ivory/abalone type inlays. My "usual preference" is not to have the return points covered on a full-splice. However, if it is wanted by the designer/buyer, then this is the way to do it! They do look...

Fitting a LD shaft on Judd Fuller n Jeff Olney 3-8-10

Partials would work for a Predator choice, but not Mezz. Mezz doesn't have partials...only option for a Mezz fit would be to have the 3/8x10 turned down to match. Might be a reason to go with Predator though if the OP is on the fence about the two shafts...
