    Break cue shafts

Break shafts A lot depends on the wood the shaft is made from and the skill of the player.. If a player is used to shooting with a 12.75mm shaft he (or she) might not be comfortable with a larger diameter shaft. Also, is it to be a Pro or Euro taper? In my experience a 13mm PH shaft has all...

    Wood stabilizing service

Stabilizing service. I've added Elk and Ivory to the items I can stabilize. It really works great on the Elk--especially if it is pithy.

    LACE Amboyna Burl

Here is a pic of the LACE Amboyna Burl mentioned in another post. Either piece would make a beautiful handle (or both pieces for a forearm and butt sleeve). These are the only two pieces of LACE Amboyna Burl that I know of. The pieces match because they were cut from the same billet.

Anyone deal with Griffin Exotic Wood?

Griffin Wood I've bought wood from them and have never had a problem. Any wood I buy that I am not sure of I wax the ends and wrap with shrink wrap nice and tight including the ends. Works for me as it is pretty dry here in So Cal.

    Juma break tips

Has anybody used Juma for a tip on a break cue? I have used it for a ferrule on both players and breakers and it works good and want to make a 1 piece break ferrule/tip combination but a little concerned about it cracking since I do not think it has any fibre in it like phenolic has. My...

    G10 Pins?

G-10 pins I use G-10 pins in my break cues for several reasons all of which have already been discussed here. To get around the abrasiveness issue I use an oily insert in my shaft such as Katalox or cocobolo and finish the pin with dry fingerboard oil.
