    bad tip intallation technique?

tip Please take off that bracelet for future video's. The taig will just sputter if it catches it, but a regular lathe will take your hand off. If you put in on Utube, some idiot will try it.

    George Balabushka

How cues play is really subjective. But factor in people are probably playing with shafts that have been sanded and sanded and referruled and sanded again. (can you say not original taper). Also remember the tables and balls that these cues were made to play on. During George's hay day most...

    West System pumps

West system pumps Had one of these for 10 years for another business. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/cmpages/portionator.php We cleaned it maybe twice. First time we used acetone, bad mistake. Ate the seals. Denatured alcohol worked fine. We were in an unheated warehouse and would put...

    Which cue Espiritu or RAT

Which Why not both. Russ is an established respected cuemaker. Rat is an up and coming talented cuemaker. If you can't do both, do the one you think looks the best, go with your gut. Both will serve you well.

    wavy joint question

What you are doing is taking a rolled thread pin and putting it into the cheapest insert you can buy and thinking that is an engineered thread set up. Now take a cut thread pin and a brass insert that is not mass produced and made specifically for that pin and bingo the same no side movement...

    wavy joint question

wavy Sort of looks like a shop mistake where someone said, hey I screwed this up so lets make it work so I don't have to fix it. My other take on it is that it's a mini radial pin. The "double thread" offset makes the minor diameter larger. Kind of an upside down flat bottom 3/8-10 or 9 or...

wedge quickchange toolpost holder from ebay

wedge Hard to beat the discount machines ones for the price. Especially for what we do with them. If you need to go to a CXA, I would lay out the money for a Dorian or Aloris just for strength. But a AXA, BXA, the better imports work just fine. I always check mine after any heavy cutting...

    Can't get it right

Minor diameter on that thread pattern is around .6733. Mearsure the interior size of the die and add .02 or .3. Try it on a test piece. That is if .01 or .015 thread height is worth the effort. I'd look into buying the threading attachment.
