We're cyclop balls replaced by dynasphere? Any reviews on dynasphere?

This thread has died off but I said I'd put a review up, so here it is: I've been playing with the Dynasphere tungstens for about a month now, and I couldn't be happier. The quality of materials is second to none. They stay every bit as clean as my old Cyclop balls, or maybe even cleaner...

    Stupid rules question

So the fouling player gets a foul for unsportsmanlike. The incoming player has table in position after the balls are racked I guess? I wasn't there for it, but it happened between 2 of my friends shortly before I got there. Their decision was to call it a foul, and incoming player accepting...

    Stupid rules question

Player makes his last ball and gets bad shape on the break ball. Player spaces out/ brain farts, and shoots the break ball before racking and misses. What the hell happens here?

We're cyclop balls replaced by dynasphere? Any reviews on dynasphere?

It took awhile, but I got an email today saying that they have shipped, and my credit card has been charged, so seems like they are on the way.

2020 AZ Billiards Straight Pool Challenge!

Put up a 45 vs my buddy Jim today. There's coarse language in the video clip, so NSFW. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYX2XHr5kb0

This is where I ordered mine from: https://olhausenonline.com/products/dynasphere-tungsten-pool-ball-set $100US shipped to my door in Canada. Ridiculously cheap, if the quality is there. I'll put a review up in this thread when they show up.

We're cyclop balls replaced by dynasphere? Any reviews on dynasphere?

Can you post some pics? I replaced my Cyclop skittles balls with centennials and regret it, and would like to get new Cyclop balls but they seem to be getting hard to come by. I don't especially like the look of the dynasphere platinums. Can't find any pics of the tungsten set, maybe they will...

    Ball Polisher

I was thinking a cheap drill press would have all the basic parts you'd need, with very little needing modification.

    Ball Polisher

I really like that one too, but think I want to keep an 8 ball setup, storage space is at a premium. This is my current one I'm using, but it's getting a bit long in the tooth, I built it awhile ago and probably has over 200 cycles on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdWtVb2nlsE

    Ball Polisher

I really like the design of the diamond polisher. I think I'll rip it off when I build another one. Can probably do it for $150 if I keep my eyes open for a good 2nd hand motor.

Top pool moments in my lifetime

That has to be my favourite rack of pool that I've ever seen. Here it is for anyone that hasn't seen it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKD7EdzMjAM Schmidt's 626 was bigger for me than anything else in my lifetime. I don't get the hate.

Can you play decent pool using both your right and left hands?

I'm about the same with either hand on most shots, but bridging over balls, and the break shot, are much better shooting right handed. Edit: I actively had to teach myself to shoot lefty, it wasn't a proficiency out of the gate. I'm at the point now where I'll switch several times in a rack. If...

    Walkaway Joe movie

Name of the movie is "The Pearl" for sure. I think it should be set 20 years after his peak, and have the washed-up lead character find the motivation to beat his demons and make his way back to the top again.

Best pool ball set for home.

If you want bang for your buck, get the cyclop. When I first got my table I bought a skittles Cyclop set because I couldn't afford the set I really wanted, the centennials. I recently sold my Cyclop set after I found a good deal on some centennials, and have regretted it ever since. The Cyclop...

What triangle is the best rack for one pocket ,straight pool

Perma-Rack It's the best racking system I've ever used. Made by AZBer "Side Pocket". Here's his video explaining it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4xeLOTO2Ug&feature=share Here's his site: http://tackletamer.com/perma-rack-see-video-below/ I used his template a bit differently. I used...

2020 AZ Billiards Straight Pool Challenge!

Haven't played in over a month, can't seem to focus as much when it's just me, but figured a lot of guys would kill to have access to a table right now so I better use mine a bit. Forced myself to go out and put some time in tonight, and ran a 40 in a match vs myself. Video...

    Pool balls set recommendations

If you're looking to buy new, I'd try to find a set of Cyclop balls if I were in your shoes, they give you the best bang for your buck.

Harder 8' or 9' for 14.1 Straight Pool?

Make them play. I'm a straight pool missionary. Whenever anyone wants to play here I make sure at least 1 game of straight pool is part of the bargain. The more people get exposed to it, the more they want to play. I have plenty of people to play now, where when I started I was all alone.

Harder 8' or 9' for 14.1 Straight Pool?

I'm a 50+ runner on 7', 8', and 9', and in my experience 8' is easiest, then 7', then 9'. 10' is much tougher than the 3 smaller tables.

    what ya think about??

Honestly I don't think about anything. I did my thinking when I was standing. My routine is to build the program in my head before I address the shot. Once I'm down on the shot I just execute. If, once I'm down, I notice my mind wandering at all from that, or if I "feel" that something isn't...
