What to ask cuemaker if I want a real shiny, glossy, lustrous finish?

You would want Shelby Williams to finish the cue then, he has the deepest, shiniest finish I've seen recently. The finish has incredible depth, not sure what his process is, but he certainly has it nailed down.

Is your most often used cue and favorite cue, the same?

That looks extremely similar to mine, what woods are your sugartree?

Is your most often used cue and favorite cue, the same?

My most often used cue is a butt that I made with a cynergy shaft, but my favorite is my Sugartree because the hit is so lively. It's not LD, so it would be a big adjustment to switch to it permanently, but I do take it out of the case frequently to play a few racks.

    My Fargorate progression

That was quite uninformative and doesn't show any relevant information toward this specific event. The more data that you include, in this case going back 2 years and 82k games, it's absolutely going to average out to a lower number. The point that previous posts had made, is that for this...

Sadly this is unlikely to happen because it may make the rating system look bad, but it would certainly be nice to see!

White vault plate vs Black vault plate, does it matter?

I have a difficult time identifying the end of the shaft with a black vault plate, even the thin white ones can be tough. This is why I like the cynergy, there's enough contrast for me to see it clearly.

Purpleheart shaft vs maple for dings - Break cue

I just finished up a purpleheart breakshaft for myself, and I have no idea why I didn't make one sooner. It hits harder than all of my other [purchased] break shafts! To the OP, you can't go wrong with a purple shaft 🙂 much harder than maple so it will not ding as easily.

    Kielwood shaft cleaning? methods?

I have not had good success fixing dents in KW compared to regular maple. The wood just doesn't swell as much. I am also very picky about how smooth a shaft should be, that's why I switched to CF, purely for the ding resistance.

With Joshua winning in Vegas, does Fedor's backers still want some?

Maybe both players just need to try harder 😉

With Joshua winning in Vegas, does Fedor's backers still want some?

They are breaking from the side rail specifically to make the head ball, there is no break box here so side rail works well. Most recent tournaments had a break box so there was no option to break from the side. You do not get a consistent spread with a hand rack, you do with a template rack...

With Joshua winning in Vegas, does Fedor's backers still want some?

Because they are racking by hand instead of with a template, so naturally the ball spread will be less consistent. Their goal is to make the head ball in the side pocket.
