Thanks, yes, I found the video, haven't watched the whole thing through yet. He uses the glue method on thebbed, whereas I will be stapling; but regardless, lots of good info and technique in there.

@bradsh98 BTW, I wasn't referring to you or soliciting you to write a couple of paragraphs in my comments above, I was simply speculating.

Best Recovering Method for an Amateur?

First, it's not the cheapest cloth on can buy, but it's certainly much less than Simonis for a comparable worsted wool cloth. It's 80/20 wool/nylon. 860 is 90/10, 760 is 70/30, 860HR is 70/30, for reference. Read this: and this: and this: and this:

Best Recovering Method for an Amateur?

I'm wondering if the DVDs are worth the expense, given that now I have decided to staple, and I'm only doing one table every five or ten years. :) If I had an outline of how to mark the cloth, and a sequence for stapling I think I'd be all set for the bed. The rails should be simpler, I...

Frame pieces made of exterior plywood. I would be careful. The Brunswick name doesn't mean that much since the offshore production and cost cutting moves.

Thanks Bob. Just so I understand, you mean line up all fifteen in a row, and then stroke the one ball with the cue; and do this repeatedly without pocketing any? I can try that. They are Brunswick Centennial balls. In what way could the surfaces be screwed up? Thanks, jv

I wonder if I may please avail myself of the vast knowledge and experience of you ball collecting experts? As I posted previously, I acquired a nice set of Brunswick Centennial balls, and cleaned them up. They looked great! Now, however, after just a little bit of use, they all develop spots...
