New Standard tip of Blue Grass Cues - Thoroughbred Tips

Nice Kelly. Excited to give these a try sometime soon

Wrap Question. What is the tackiest feeling leather grip?

I'm also a wrapless guy and always have been at heart, but have always dabbled with other stuff. I have to disagree on the stack leather wrap. I've had two cues with the Tiger stack leather wrap and while they looked great and felt good to me, they were not sticky. It was as smooth and seamless...

Tiger Woods adds Raiders logo to his pool table

Wow, that looks terrible. Why the hell would you have the logo sideways, haha

Should your break cue weigh less than your playing cue?

My break sucks with a 15 ounce cue equally as bad as it sucks with a 25 ounce cue. My current breaker happens to be around 18oz or maybe a little lighter and I like it just fine.

    How good were you?

I'm fairly new to the game. I think I entered my first little bar tournament maybe 5-6 years ago. That was 8-ball, race to 1, double elimination. Lots of bangers. I went two and out. And in fact, I went two and out at that tournament for the first few months of playing it. I could tell that my...

Will I be the last poster on this site that is interested in pool related posts?

I went into NPR once. Never again for me. Getting into political debates with cranky old pool players on the internet strikes me as being only marginally better than a sharp stick in the eye.

Show your full leather JB cases

I love mine. JB Mason case, 2x4 with just a little bit of tooling. Took this photo for the "2017 what's in your case" thread so the focal point of the image is all the stuff beside the case, but you get the idea. The only only only thing I wish was different about it is I wish it had red...

Pro players who do not take competition too seriously?

Scott Frost seems to always be enjoying himself. I like how he never complains or makes excuses either.

FS: Tad 1 Birdseye Merry Widow

Nice Tad here. Needs a wrap. When I picked this cue up the wrap was in terrible shape so I pulled it off and haven't gotten around to getting more Cortland to put back on it. I've brought it to the pool hall to mess around with and it's a ton of fun to play with, even without a wrap. Could use a...

    FS: Pat Diveney Sneaky Pete

Great player but the shaft is not original. (I think it's a Diveney shaft, but not original to this cue.) 18.2oz, bocote or cocobolo into straight grain maple. Shaft is close to full, around 12.8mm or so. SOLD

FS: Bob Frey Fancy Sneaky Pete

Beautiful cue with a number of upgrades from Bob's standard. It's a premium cocobolo into curly maple blank with silver/nickel rings and a white phenolic joint and hoppe ring. Has a couple minor blemishes in the finish, overall great condition. One matching Predator 314-2 shaft, one Frey shaft...

    FS: Scruggs True Sneaky

Tough to find a Scruggs sneaky in this good of condition with this full of a shaft. Shaft has the normal patina you'd expect of a cue of this age, but it's nearly full at around 12.75 or 12.8mm, 19.5oz. The finish on the butt is very good for the age. TRADE PENDING.

What would be your choice of car for a Pool Road Trip?

^^^ Where I come from, the guy pulling up in a fancy car and pulling a 7K cue out of a 1K case will almost always need a bigger spot than the guy driving that car.
