Why is it that this pool related site is dominated by Non Pool Related threads and posts. Drives me nuts.

If anyone knows how to turn off the NPR section of this site please let me know as I am sick and tired of them flooding out the forum.

I don't understand. Every thread looks pool related. Can you give an example of a thread that's not pool related?

The NPR section of this site is its own forum. Do others have the option of "put every thread into one forum"?

When selecting the "New" search function, it returns all of the new posts including the Non-Pool Related posts as well.
 
When I log on I see only new posts no matter which section I'm in. Long as I stay out of the NPR section I don't see the posts from there.

Why not go directly to the main forum, then? And the answer to your title question is probably yes. Many have gone to facebook, some are just inactive, and many of us are just worn out. 90% of responses are jokes these days. That wouldn't have been a problem, except there are very few pool related answers at all. It's ALL jokes, all the time. Pointless.

Many of the NPR people have 10 posts a day, for years! How is anyone with a job going to compete with that kind of output?

Ah, okay. I guess problem solved then, right? If a poster doesn't want to see the NPR posts, he shouldn't do the NEW posts selection. Just go into the Main Forum like the rest of us.

If I was really interested in pool-related posts, I'd make one.

I hate long, Meucci-like pro tapers....they cost me a lot of money over the years....

What tip plays the best and lasts the longest and has the least amount of maintenance?

I think honestly there are a lot of people hanging around this website because we all like pool, but there isn't much to talk about because instead of playing we have talked about everything. Up until there is something new to talk about, and we quickly talk about it until homeostasis is achieved again. Rinse and Repeat.

There are different ways to experience and navigate this forum. You see the NPR posts because of how you do it. Change your browsing techniques/habits and you can control it.

There are many sub forums here I have never opened because I don't care about what's inside. The posts there are not bugging me because I don't have any idea what they are.

I went into NPR once. Never again for me. Getting into political debates with cranky old pool players on the internet strikes me as being only marginally better than a sharp stick in the eye.
 
The Ramshot is pool related but that one has pretty much all been hashed out, I dont think there is anything left to discuss about the Ramshot.

That's a fact! There are about 4-5 JCCs (jokers, comedians and clowns) on here that are ruining it for everyone. black-balled, skip100, easy-e, SARdive, etc. They are like a pack of screaming hyenas scratching and sniffing threads feeding off each other looking to make a fool of someone with their sorry attempts at comedy. I'm sure they've run off many serious people with good solid input to offer. Our loss. Until the rest of AZB stands up to them and reminds them they are in the threads without anything to add and to butt out.

How can I be more serious? You need to follow the rules like everyone else.

Why do you keep using JCC and then next to it spell out jokers comedians and clowns? The whole idea of abbreviating is so that you don't have to spell it out.

Do I need to spell it out for you?
