I can most certainly get more draw when using my CF shaft than any of my wooden ones. That isn't really important to me, however what is important to me is being able to get the draw (or any action really) I need without having to stroke it so hard (compared to my wood shafts).

The best way to combat this is to make the shot a little easier every time you miss and make it a little harder every time you make it.

I think the problem here isn't two people of the same skill level, its a 6 playing a decent 4 who can't break the rack for anything and you end up fighting a big cluster the whole rack, giving the lower level player more chances at the table because the higher level player can't run balls.
