Mosconi Cup 2025, Dec. 3-6, Alexandra Palace, London

Let the flagellation begin. Just when you think it can't get any uglier it does. Tyler looked like he forgot how to play pool in the last match. The U.S. has two players who can play with the Euros and three others who are a full level below them. Even in a short match the difference in skill...

Mosconi Cup 2025, Dec. 3-6, Alexandra Palace, London

Wow, that is really, really bad. Ten out of eighteen matches we got crushed. And only three matches we won. So that means Team US was only competitive in five other Cups (six or more wins). To me losing 11-6 or 11-7 is not really that close anyway. 11-8 or better and it's a good match. Wonder...

Mosconi Cup 2025, Dec. 3-6, Alexandra Palace, London

I like taking the odds on the final score, 11-6 or 11-7. You're still getting 3.5-1 on your money. I think I like Jayson at 11-4 and Moritz at 5-1 in singles. Europe at 250 to win 100 is not bad either.

Mosconi Cup 2025, Dec. 3-6, Alexandra Palace, London

You are correct. Team USA has won three of the last eighteen MC's. I wouldn't be bragging about a 3-15 record though. That equates to a one in six chance for Team USA overall. In other words calling them a 6-1 underdog is about right.

    DCC 1p rule change.....................!!

Bad idea imo. Once past the two hour point in the match, whoever is leading will be stalling. What is really needed is a 45 second shot clock. It can be one clock with each player clicking it when they come to the table. The clock will be visible to both players. Perhaps one or two 45 second...

The bad news. All the trash talk in the world won't help Team USA win games. Better you answer on the table and not with loose lips. Once again they play right into the Euro's hands.

Good news. It's all tied up! Team USA is hanging in there so far. ;)

They both bombed last year. The two worst players for Team USA. Maybe, just maybe they will reclaim some lost respect this year. I'd like to see that but frankly don't expect too.

    Little Monster Crazy Break

I can remember a match where the cue ball traveled the length of the table along/atop the rail and dropped back onto the playing surface when it hit the edge of the corner pocket. Legal shot!

Mosconi Cup 2025, Dec. 3-6, Alexandra Palace, London

The press conference might be the most exciting part of this year's MC. All the talk in the world will not help Team USA. They're overmatched and undergunned.

No way will there be six matches played on Day Three! Could be as few as four, five max.

    The best non-pro player ever?

Jack beat Toby playing on his home turf in Vegas. It was a helluva match. Toby played good but Jack played better. This was a spot where Jack couldn't stall. He had to really let his stroke out and he showed his true skill at One Pocket. Big money on the line too. Jack's forte. I played Toby...

    The best non-pro player ever?

I was in with Jack on that game. I would watch for a few hours and take a break for awhile before coming back. Jack and James did take several breaks over the course of the four days to rest and to eat. It was not one continuous game. They were playing Ten Ahead One Pocket for the 100K.

    The best non-pro player ever?

I was the worst hustler in the world. I wanted to play pool so badly every day that I would just walk in and go to the counter and tell them I was looking for a game. That way I usually got a game really fast. Most of the time I was playing the best player in the house at that moment. Often the...

SJM at the 2025 International Open

Do you have the prize money breakdowns for the other events being held there in conjunction with the Open division? The Mixed Doubles (going on now) is paying double that, 100K.

SJM at the 2025 International Open

The Mixed Doubles is paying out $100,000 for this one event alone. I don't know the total prize money for this event but it's definitely not pathetic.

Who is the best player of the last 40 years not to win a major event?

Mizerak tried giving him 50 to 150 in a money game back then and did not fare well.

Mosconi Cup Stats -- Career Records for Players on 2025 Teams

Same old, same old. USA gets crushed. If they get past seven it's an upset.
