Which shaft applies the most spin?

what I can tell you is I just went through the low deflection experiment myself(Mcdermott cue w/I-2 shaft), When all was said and done I sold the cue and the shaft. I had purchased Schon and a custom by Barry Cameron. I found as long as I have the tip I want (moori med) I can apply all the...

Schon: How do YOU like them?

I bought Schon STL 01,I wanted to check out the hit with a ss joint.I had been playing with a Mcdermott. First impression was not good, I ended up breaking with it, it hit extremely stiff with the medium hard tip it came with. Then I decided to have a Moori soft tip put on it and oh my what a...

    Feedback On Sickles Cues

I'm interested in any info from owners of Sickles cues, or anyone who has played w/one. I'm wondering about the hit ie soft, firm, hard. Also joint type and overall quality. I really like the plaine janes more than cues with points & veneers and he had some really nice cues.

Alot depends on your cloth. If you have a worsted cloth they stick pretty well. If you have felt forget it.

    low deflection shaft respect

I don't have the other shaft yet so I can't compare the two. The present shaft has a moori med at a nickle radius. I go with the nickle to try to minimize mis cue's at this point. I scuff the tip about every other rack & use master chalk.

    Paralysis By Analysis

I don't have aspirations to hit a pro tournament circuit lol. I really would just like to enjoy the game again. It's alot more fun when the ball are dropping! As for as time to dedicate to the game I have an 8' table in a comfortalbly finished basement (the time is mine to spend).

    Internet Shopping

Rat your response brings up another question. I have talked to a couple billiards supply stores about the availibilty of the shaft and atleast two mentioned that they might have to send my cue to Mcdermott to match up the shaft. Is that the best route to go?

    low deflection shaft respect

Info for the undereducated I'm going to take the risk of getting flamed in this discussion. As someone coming back to this game after 20+ years I recently decide to get a low deflection shaft for my cue ( I won't mention what production cue or shaft as I don't think it is necassarily relevent...

    Paralysis By Analysis

I started playing again a couple of months ago after a 20+ year layoff. Way back when I was a decent player, not anywhere near the caliber on this forum but ok. I was really rusty when I started out this time and had alot of questions about equipment and such so I started surfing the net and...
