    Why?

    The pad allows you the ability not to have to face the ferrule every time you change a tip. Over years if you face the ferrule each time the ferrule gets shorter. Before you get too close to the ferrule, you just glue on another then do the tip.

    WANTING TO BUY-SMALL LATHE-FOR REFINISHING ONLY

    If you are going to be spinning a finish or adhesion coat do not buy a wood lathe unless it has a variable speed motor. Most wood lathes Rpm goes too fast on the lowest speed and it will cause the finish to want to get funny from the centripetal force. Feeds and speed is the key.

    Hi, Everyone has an opinion but physics and geometry rules from an objective point of view. The thing is not everyone likes the same attributes of a butt configuration, feel, sound, weight and balance point. So it is subjective to a players preference. Rick

    Jeremy is running the show over there at OB for Mark. Jeremy is a very smart guy with tons of experience. Any past problems at OB are just that a thing of the past. I spent a hour talking to him at Griff's and I was super impressed with his mindset and experience.

    There are many things than can cause a buzz; Loose ferrule Loose joint collar or butt cap Loose inlay Anulus gap area in a cored section A Joint buzz Loose weight bolt A wood crack Everyone of these except the crack Can be completely avoided by the cuemaker during construction.
