Like the majority of my cues it is a one off design. The following is the detailed description and specifications: Esoteric Cue #249 for your review: Cue is built on a 6 pt./60 degree geometry. 3 hi - 3 low. Full core construction, no A-joint bolt with a preset weight bolt embedded behind the pin for tweaking the forward balance moment arm. 3/4 in. laminate dowel, thru the entire butt. It is loaded with sterling silver & elforyn super tusk inlays!! 18 burl triple compound inlays for each end of the forearm barbells. North of 170 inlays including all the silver dots. All of these inlays are set into ebony in the butt sleeve and forearm. The butt sleeve has, 3 elongated super tusk, notch diamonds, flanked by 3 triple sterling silver bars. A total of 12 super tusk badges, and 24 sterling silver dots. The forearm has 15 triple compound inlayed amboyna burl barbells ends flanked by 3 elongated notch diamonds. 3 sets of long triple sterling silver contoured bars. There are 12 super tusk ring badge, 24 sterling silver dots, and .030 polished sterling silver rings in all positions. The elforyn super tusk joint is married up to a 3/8-14 stainless steel pin with an embossed brown leather Crocodile wrap. The two shafts are made of high quality Canadian select hard rock maple, with elforyn super tusk collars, super tusk ferrules, measuring, half an inch, with a shaft flex point of 6.75 inches. I always “case harden” all of my tip side walls with multi layers of med superglue and seal and polish the ferrules. The tips last longer, play better and the ferrules never get ingrained with chalk. They are Kamui Med but I alway install a thicker clear pad I get from Barringer. I like that look!

I always coat the ferrules, tip pad and the side of the leather to case harden the side wall with 5 coats of med superglue after burnishing. Other than a great polished appearance it don't matter much on the a Kamui Med concerning performance but on Softer tips like LaPros and Elkmasters, the tips don't mushroom for a very long time and the ferrules don't get chalk stained. I sand up to 2500 with micro mesh then buff on the wheel with Mensurna Clay bar. The process of doing two tip takes about an hour ( install, triming, crowning, applying 5 coats of SG and cure time between layers, sanding up to 2500 then polishing ). I think the results are worth my time as it makes the end of the shaft look prestine with great utility that lasts.

Thanks for your keen eye to notice that little detail.

I also seal my maple shafts with a water thin epoxy before polishing. It penetrates 10 to 15 thou into the wood and you don't get chalk in the shaft wood either.
