Hi, Interesting Subject. I bought a Unilock Radial Tap from Atlas 15 years ago. If a customer requests this pin on a new cue it works perfect with the Unilock pin. As for some of the other knock off pins out there it can be problematic getting a perfect interference fit. Rick

Drill it, bore it then glue in a 1/2" maple dowel and re thread to the 3/8 16. Total time involved 10 mins.

You need at least 1500 rpm or a little faster. But you also need torque at lower speeds for drilling and coring.

The end of the butt is 1.238. The A Joint ( 1.008) to nose is conical or a straight taper. The curve geometry is from the A Joint to the end of the butt which makes the handle slightly thinner.
