    Schmelke Shutdown?

Question: the Schmelke website is not responding, did they shut down or just having computer issues? I'm using an older version of Microsoft but two different browsers come back saying "no secure connection returned". Thanks.

Train my stroke to stay in the vertical plane.

So, I’ve been playing 8-ball in a bar league on coin-op bar box tables. I’m at that point where I see the shot I want, get into position and stroke. No real thinking just sort of natural and I hit more than I miss. Then I joined a 9-ball league as a way to keep my skills up between 8-ball...

Shaft Hole Depth Creates Void Question.

The joint on my sneaky is wood to wood faced. The pin is 1-1/4 inch long and the shaft hole is tapped to 2 inches deep. This creates a 3/4-inch void in the shaft. Question 1, is there any benefit to filling the void? Question 2, what would you fill it with? Thanks for your input.

    Where Do You Get Overlays.

My apologies to the professional cue craftsmen out there. I own a production plane jane cue. really nice deep red double wash staining. I want to add something to the but and forearm to personalize it some. I've been searching the net looking for decals or some such sort of thing but no luck...

    Case Maker In U.S.A?

So I'm in the market for a new 2x2 case. My original box case is wearing out. Are there any production case makers in the U.S? Not that the custom shops won't have what I want, I'm just not in that price range and I prefer U.S. products.

Viking & Schmelke What a Pair.

Hi everybody. If you’re in the market for good production house cues here is my review of two products. Viking’s, V-110K with the LD Vikore® shaft and Schmelke’s Sneaky-Pete R-065. I purchased these as players about 6 months ago and have been using them equally getting a feel for performance and...

    Schmelke Secret?

I have read here, and on other boards, about products from Schmelke USA. I have yet to come across anything derogatory about how their cues play the quality of materials or workmanship. As far as I can discern they appear to be the # 3 production cue house in the U.S.A. What puzzles me is how...

    Jawing the pocket problem

Opinions please, I have this shooting issue. Almost every time I miss a shot it will normally end up with the OB bouncing between the jaws of the pocket. It happens on cuts and straight in lines. I have asked friends and opponents alike to watch my stroke but the feedback I get is unreliable. I...

    Very Closed Stance Question

In my zeal to discover why my shots are missing the target (pocket) I have noticed that most missed shots are only off by fractions of an inch. I know, miss an inch miss a mile. Anyway I am looking at all aspects of my pre shot set up. I have noted that the “comfortable” stance that I get into...

    PSR and allinement advice request.

What PSR and alignment advice would you give to a student whose body shape or other physical limitations prevent them from being able to get their sight line and stroke line in the same horizontal plane?
