I just figured out the problem. The butt had two joint collars on it. A thin black one and a taller white one. The thin black one is missing and the tall white one was pushed down in it's place. Thus the reason for no pilot hole. Once I replace the missing black joint collar and put the white...

It looks like a piece was added to the inside of the joint collar on the butt so the pilot won't go in. The collar on the butt is white delrin or some plastic. It appears that the joint collar around the screw needs to be bored out for the pilot to fit. I'm working on pictures to show the...

Free Cueball I entered the contest last year or the year before. To my surprise I got a cueball with my name on it. Came in a velvet pouch with a small o-ring for a stand. Not bad for free.
