I know some people who use rainx on their wood and carbon shafts and I have to say it makes them super smooth. I have never worn a glove but it makes the shafts so slick I feel it is what it would feel like wearing a glove. Just wipe it on, let it dry for a few minutes, and then lightly buff it.

I am not a cue maker, I have painted for over 35 years. I feel like you could thin some white paint way down and spray the maple with it and let it soak in. Kinda like a old white wash effect and the grain would still be very visible, even with 2 thin coats you should see wood grain. Anyways...

Has anyone made any maple ferrules like on the OB shafts? I have one that looks as if it spirals and another that looks to be 39 small wafers. Just curious if something happened to one are they able to be made or is there a source to purchase them. Thanks A

Yesterday at the pool hall a gentleman showed me a predator2 butt and it seemed like it was considerably smaller diameter than the old mcdermott c I was using. Anyone have any idea if they actually are? And if so what the size might be? Thanks Dan

Thank you, that's what I was looking for could it be filled or plugged and retapped. Not opposed to brass but didn't know what the options were was all.

Thanks tps&b, NO BRASS INSERT IN SHAFT. Ok, more specifically can a 3/8x11 shaft that has no brass insert in it just threaded. Can that be filled with something and then retapped to a 3/8x10 or does it require the 3/8x11 to be drilled out then a brass insert added to fit a 3/8x10 pin.

Thanks for the response tg, didnt think my question was rocket science, but my question was if it did not have the brass insert could it be filled and retapped? Or would you have to drill threads out and install a brass insert?
