Yes, My son picked up a 1972 Joss West cue. So cheap I am embarrassed to say. It had only two small dings and other than that it was in very nice shape. The wrap(Cortland) was saved and the whole cue looks brand new. Proficient did an awesome job. It ended up costing $400 for the refinish.

If they have a screw hole in the butt end they probably had bumpers on them. When these were made the bumpers were known as rubber noise subduer. The labels on these cues show that they have been played a lot. Bumpers are cheap and easy so I would clean them up and use them for play. It looks...

I am like you. I have heard of him forever in Denver. I met him twice and he seemed to hate me. That was at pre-Felt Table Steaks. Bill ran with a different crowd than I did. At one time he was a feared player in the front range.
