Changing the butt of a cue

Why would you change the butt. Why not just buy a new cue. or buy a new shaft that will fit your bj cue with a softer tip for playing with and swap shafts when breaking. Why are you buying a bj cue anyway when you have a pants cue like a BCE. surely you should invest in a better playing cue first

    Pool Peeves

I hate it when a bunch of kids are on the table next to me when i'm practising are just standing around. When your opponent is shooting, either sit down or hide in a corner. One kid actually sat on my table while i was practising. I hit him with the rest "accidentally". He got a bit aggro so...

How do you Hold, or What do you do with YOUR?

I've never had a problem with my magnetic chalk holder, you can put it anywhere on your belt, so depending on what type of chair you are sitting on you can move it around. Generally i put it on the back of my belt and sit on a stool. Althought the idea is that i won't be sat down too long...

    Shaft Preferences???

i don't know a lot about the differences in shafts but i will say this, i play 9ball a lot and i'd consider myself a good club level player. One of the pro snooker players at my club in the UK decided to have a little knock with me. He beat my 11-1. I got 3 chances in the whole game. Just to...

    Straight Pool 100 - I failed!

just watched your video while putting off doing some uni work. I can tell you're from a snooker background, you fizz the ball all over the table. I find i do the same thing, having only transferred from snooker to pool about a year ago its still great fun to fizz the ball all over the place! Dave

New Cloth 'Kicks??' not regular type of kick.

I have never heard this phenomonon being called kick. What really matters is that if you notice it happen on a table with a new cloth, you should alter your game to account for it. Its not likely that the table will perform differently in the short space of one match.
