    We Lost Tommie 1351

Very sorry to hear this. I wasn't one fortunate enough to know Tommie, but his interactions in the forum were enough to show the type of man he was. He will be missed!! Chris

✦✦ 2013 AZB Cue of the Year ✦✦

I think the pictures are more than good enough to show what a beautiful monster the cue is, Ron  Congrats on your taste in design as well!! Chris

    Please Post some 2012-2013 Murrell

That was what I meant. Once again, it seems I am wrong. When I spoke with Pete Sr. a couple of years ago, I was told that in a piloted joint, it was stainless, or ivory with a stainless insert. As I wasn't given the option of a full ivory joint, I "assumed" that they always used the sleeved...

    Please Post some 2012-2013 Murrell

As I've never played with an ivory over steel joint, I can't answer anything as to the feel. But, when it comes to noted cue makers who use this style, ivory over steel is the ONLY way you can get an ivory joint from Tascarella. I would say Pete and Pete are somewhat noted :) Chris

    Please Post some 2012-2013 Murrell

I have known to be mistaken before  When I contacted Kenny to build my cue, he said that any steel sleeved (for lack of a better term) joints were juma, and that his ivory joints were always solid ivory. As it seems my info in no longer correct, I hope that everyone disregards my post...

    Please Post some 2012-2013 Murrell

Here's my late 2013 Murrell with an ivory joint. In fact, everything white on the cue and the joint protectors is ivory. Kenny is great to work with, and makes a fantastic cue. If anyone dislike the all barbell styling, don't blame Kenny. That was my bright idea :D Chris.

    Please Post some 2012-2013 Murrell

Hi, Ed. Just a quick one. When I was talking to Kenny about the cue I wanted, he said that if looked like ivory, but was steel lined, it was a Juma joint. His solid ivory joints are just straight piloted.. not ivory over stainless (as in Srober40's pics in post #11). Great looking cue no...

    Coll Cues Photo Gallery

Chris, The cues are even cleaner up close and personal. I own the 3rd one down in the first post that Cueman added. The diamonds are amazingly clean, and they each have a tiny silver inlay directly in the middle of them. I'll have to take some larger pics of mine and add them to this thread...

**PFD & Murrell bumperless Hoppe Cues

Owning them both, I have to agree with the two differing opinions. I love the PFD for the old school, understated perfection (at least in my mind) it delivers. But I also love the Murrell for the way he took my vision (done via nothing but e-mail back and forth), and created a very unusual, but...

**PFD & Murrell bumperless Hoppe Cues

Thanks for all the nice comments, folks. Snowmon should know the most about the Murrell cue, as it seems he has 10 of them =) Mikiemopa: The PFD may be used as a fully bumperless, or with the tiny rubber bumper Paul added that can be seen in the last picture. I used to have a real problem...

    Ebony on Ebony for Tikkler

Steve, Yet another amazing cue by Pete, and yet another amazing cue for your collection. I think you're lust having them made to spite the rest of us :D I know that *I* have a serious case of cue envy  Great cue, class cue builder and cue owner!! Chris

**PFD & Murrell bumperless Hoppe Cues

I received these from Paul and Kenny last month, but this is the first time I've had a chance to take pictures and post them. While both cues are bumperless Hoppes, that's pretty much all they have in common. Paul started with a John Davis full spliced blank, and made me a beautiful cue with a...

ZEN Cues @ SBE :: Absolute Marvel!!

Jive, Just amazing inlay work on all of the cues. The one with the mother of pearl, abalone, or pua shells (I have no idea) in the shape of flowers that covers the entire butt is the MOST amazing one to me! Very, very nice stuff!! Chris

    WTT Camera for cue (s)

Sorry for the confusion. I was simply stating that the camera and lens, by the OP's description, were used. I do not own the camera, Verbalist does. You will have to wait for him to post photos and add any other comments he deems germane to his thread. Chris

    WTT Camera for cue (s)

As he said "great condition" and added that they come with the boxes, that means it is used, but in great condition. Chris

An attempt at civil discussion, on case construction.

I, like Dean, do not care to use my "nice" cases when out for the same reasons. I have two very nice cases from John Barton (a 3x6 and a 4x8) that look amazing. But, As with Dean, I hate the idea of getting a mark/scratch on them, so they stay at home and get looked at when people come over...
