Thanks for the poll information. This leads me to another but related question.. Do the world's best players generally have a wrap on their cue? Or does this vary greatly between players?

I quite like playing with a linen wrap on my cue. I feel that I am able to grip more lightly and have a better feel for what I'm doing. I've heard that some 'A' players (of which I am not!) achieve a lighter grip without a wrap. I'd be interested to hear about your experiences...

The stance is also a really important fundamental, you must have good balance and not move (especially your head) when you are down on the shot. There is no right or wrong stance, the important thing is to plant your feet firmly and not move from that position whatever your cue arm is doing...

Can I just agree with BlackJack and encourage everyone to watch this 1982 69 break against Jimmy White. Especially the long blue he pockets halfway through the clip, just love the follow through, how about that for a bit of afters? Maybe some of you guys can't fully appreciate how hard that is...

Have you or anyone else personally received coaching from Scott? I would say that I am of intermediate to advanced level, I basically just need someone to objectively point out and make me aware of inconsistencies that may have crept into my stroke, also my shot selection in certain situations...

Could anyone recommend a good intermediate/advanced training camp or coach? I'm thinking of taking a vacation and want to spend 3-5 days working on improving consistency and shot selection in my game.

I am interested in buying a Longoni cue case that is able to hold at least 2 butts, 2 shafts and a jump cue. Something plain and simple, maybe in black or dark green would be perfect (something like model 202102L). Please PM me if you have anything that sounds like this available.

A tight rack goes without saying. I dont go for all of those newfangled fancy tight rack devices. All you need is a light tapping into the slate bed using a holy mouse mat (tapping template), after this the balls just roll into position - you dont even need a triangle :). I do also think...

Thanks for all your feedback everyone, I think I have been convinced about the J&J, it gives a solid hit and its cheap, seems like an absolute no brainer to me, why spend hundreds of dollars on something that looks pretty? Its all about getting a repeatable solid hit at the end of the day :)...
