I have a cnc machine shop and am an authorized Kamui tip installer.. Last time I bought a group of tips I spent over 700$ At this point I honestly only really put tips on my personal cues and for my friends when the lathe is open, it's not worth the headache of putting on tips for strangers...

In one pocket this is bad form... Opens up a can of worms. Freezing the cue to the pocket facing with a push stroke in some tournaments is ball in hand in the kitchen and a foul. Dudley

100% foul... It is the constant pressure the allows the ball to move sideways.. That is not a stroke, It is wedging the balls against the rail. Dudley

As a one pocket player who looks for these rare shots I have to disagree. But you do make some good points. I would still play a tournament with call shot rules But I prefer the slop rules that are commonly used in 9ball. Dudley

Agreed PT109, Slop is one of those things that bothers some and is part of the game for others.. It's all about your perspective. Regardless of your level you will get good rolls and bad. And this won't change with called pocket. There is a level of random when the balls are rolling around...

I prefer slop rules in all rotation games. Mostly because of the 2 way shots that become unavailable with the call shot rules. Eliminating slop doesn't eliminate luck.. It just changes the rules. Dudley

I have never wiped the chalk off of the tip as I don't care how much is down in the bottom of the case.. I'll be brushing more chalk on the tip the second I take it out of the case anyway. Seems like a futile endeavor to me, Dudley

It's hard to answer a question like this because there are no hard rules or moves that would be easy to describe in a sentence or paragraph. It's a deep game with subtleties that are hard understand until you play the game a bunch. Play cheap or free with better players, watch you tube videos...
