Southwest airlines lost all of my cues....

wait it out. rarely are things traight up lost. United once "lost" my luggage and I popped them for $2200. They cut me a check after three days and my bags surfaced 2 days later. I pocketed $2200 and got my bag back. If you don't get them back its a loss on your taxes on the bright side.

    Vernon Elliott's impossible cross-side bank

I'd like to see greg shoot that shot. I was going to post that I did not believe it could be made on modern equipment. Those tables back then had buckets for pockets, not to mention the rails and pockets were cut totally different.

    Pool Rooms in Lexington, Ky

poolbum, Oliver's isn't exactly a players room, but i go there with friends on dollar nights. Its okay, but no "players" go there o a regular basis. As for squier's tavern, they hosted a weekly 8-ball tournament and leagues. The squier's league team has went to vegas for several years in a row...

    Break Cue Rant

Speed I don't think is everything. I find I can break more consistently with these cues. I honestly wish I had a radar to test it myself.

Steve Lomax Custom Bunjee Jump Break Cues

Anthony, I've not personally tried his cues, but I've heard good things. I just purchased a hammerhead j/b cue and LOVE IT. For $125 you cannot beat those cues. I consider it to be better than the BK2 and the Sledgehammer.

    Break Cue Rant

While I agree you can "get by" with what you suggested why not go for something specialized. I used to feel the same way; however I know for a fact that a good break cue has improved my game considerably You a one pocket player or somethign :)

    Break Cue Rant

For whatever reason as of late I've been picking up new break cues like crazy. This discussion will not touch on the "jump" portion of these break cues because it warrants a completely different focused discussion. For the last two years I had been using a sledgehammer and if I played in a bar...

How many people at your hall, can you talk to about the finer points of pool?

I live in louisvillle kentucky and I would say there are quite a few people I can talk about the finer points of the game with in terms of playing. Cues...not so much....physics not at all. But I can't think of a better area to be in to talk about shooting pool.

    Vern Elliot's Bank Shot

I personally do not believe this shot can be made on modern equipment with tight pockets. Also, nobody has seen this shot in the last 20 years. SO I have to argue that it has been blown out of proportion over time...not the side bank so much but the cross corner shot in banking with the beard...

    Dcc Banks

Sarah, I would like to say that its great to see women participating in the bank and one pocket scene. To be honest, I'd love to see you come back to louisville when one of the local one pocket or bank tournaments are going on and compete (non-DCC).

    Pool Rooms in Lexington, Ky

Lexington is a horrible pool town. I lived there for 7 years up until about 7 months ago and its incredibly boring. The rack club is pretty shitty honestly and no real players go into the silver cue. The best players you will find in lexington are on monday and wednesday nights at squier's...

    Strickland "Is an Embrassment"

earl = happy gilmoore of pool Its a fact, Earl draws the crowds and people love to watch him. I remember in the early 90s at the continental inn in lexington kentucky he threw a ball out into the crowd. People love to hate earl, he draws in spectators and thats good for business. I might not...
