A 5/16 drillbit is about .004 larger so I dont know

Whats it look like, maybe you can get some at the hardware store. Get a set screw and screw it in before the weight bolt. You can get them in metric or standard

Why no recommendation. Guess its harder to control. I would think you get a nicer spread with half the effort. Does it make a difference what game you are playing?

I think if you like a protaper and 12.2 or12.3 mm tip you should go with the Jacoby or the older Rhino
