    Palmer Model "J" on eBay ... ??

Those model "J" Palmers were about the finest looking Palmers in my opinion. I am the second owner of a Model 11 from the first catalog from 1965. I wish I had an opportunity to get a model "J". Chris Tate as an absolutely amazing collection for sure.

    Question about Viking Cue

More Information on Viking Cue I was able to look at the cue again under magnification. It looks like the ivory and pearl are synthetic materials as the pearl has a man made silver sheen to it and I can see no grain in the ivory. It is a very nice cue in prisine condition. I would guess it...

    Question about Viking Cue

Bill, I had also done a Google search and found the same link to a junior tourney. I doubt i'll be able to get pictures. I realize without pictures, it would be difficult. I was hoping someone may know the significance of "1998 cue Design Winner". It is a nice cue, cocobola butt with...

    Question about Viking Cue

A friend recently was given a Viking cue as payment for a debt. He doesn't know much about cues or pool and asked me if I could find out the value of the cue. In the Blue Book of Pool cues, it is very similar to a Level 4 VM4. It is a nice cue and the inlays look to be ivory all trimmed in...

I have a coworker who was duped by KT

Good observation jimmyg. They typically have a minimun amount of "product" each member must purchase (or sell) each month. The Market America (I think that was the name) you had to purchase a 1-800 service as well as all the product literature that you gave to prospective members/customers...

I have a coworker who was duped by KT

Interesting about AMWAY. I live in CT and people I know that were in AMWAY said it was QUICKSTAR. I assumed that meant AMWAY no longer existed? Obviously a wrong assumption apparently. I had friends try and recruit me into AMWAY years back as well as PRIMERICA which at one point was doing so...

I have a coworker who was duped by KT

Funny thread. BTW... with all the references to AMWAY, they no longer exist...now Quickstar. I read a while ago, there was an "inner circle" within AMWAY that actually were making big $$$. At the expense of the poor suckers in the lower levels. I had some friends back in the 60's that were...

Tim scruggs loaded with Ivory f/s

That is a nice looking cue. I can understand the comments about "round" cnc points as if you click on a couple of the pics that show the butt sleeve, they definitely do look round. Perhaps the seller should post better pics to show the cue as it is? Peter

    An IPT legal primer...FYI

First, I am a life long lover of pool and fairly new to AZ Forums. Great website and a wealth of information. That being said, i've been reading the IPT forum in shock, amazement...etc. since the nonpayment issue surfaced. I do have a question for the legal experts. Should some people...

    A touch of class

Beautiful cue and classic styling. Are the points inlays or is it perhaps a 'full spliced' cue? Thanks, Peter

Bad Joint Protectors made by Lonnie Wilber, he will not refund? what would you do?

Greenhornet, You don't need to deal directly with the maker of those jps to get your money back if you paid by credit card. Contact your credit card company and file a dispute. If your PayPal account is linked to your bank account or debit card then you need to do it through...

    Giving a complement

Jenn, I'd have to agree that you are hot. I think I could still manage to keep that fact from distracting my pool playing however. If you are ever in the central CT area I would love the opportunity to play some 9-ball. I think I would win! :-) Peter

    Need players' opinion on rates

That is a very realistic assessment by pooltchr. As nice as it would be to have a room that is focused on 'playing pool', it is difficult to do from the business perspective without income from food or liquor. Sore_Aintya has some good points too. In central CT i've seen some great ideas fail...

Best way to remove glue from ferrule after new tip?

As mentioned, a razor blade works well if used carefully. I also use a magnifier lamp and holding the single edged blade at an angle, rotate the shaft keeping the edge of the blade level to the tip. Sanding works too but has to be done so the edge of the ferrule does not get rounded. Peter
