By the sound of your description, it looks like you are one of those players that likes to jab the cue ball.
As you termed it softly hitting the ball but still have a lot of cue ball, I assume you mean the stroke that hits the cue at ball the lowest point of your forward swing.
Unfortunately...
The other thing I can think of is to offer bonus match. Maybe the loser of svb and archer against Bustie for smaller payout then you offer the two events in full price.
10bucks is already 14percent, 20 shouldn't be too bad, I think. Plus you might get buys from people who don't want to see an Archer - Bustie pairing. Just a thought.
Oh Lord, Iglesia ni Cristo.
If you heard of corporation buying the government. Be ready for politicians buying voters through donations. The old rumor is that this church goal is to overshadow the Roman Catholic itself in both wealth and glory. That the church has more money than the Catholic...
Seeding is an incentive for those players that join ranking events. I don't believe the promoter of US Open comes up with his own ranking just to woe good players. I believe US Open uses BCA and WPA rankings to determine seeded players. If the promoter is assigning seed by his whim then it's bad.
I agree with your point. There are quite a few good matches on the first day.
With regards to seeding, it's main purpose is to reward players that play on ranking tournaments (in US Open case, BCA and WPA points). It's an incentive for those who put time and effort (and of course win). It's not...
It wasn't long ago that many people are so excited about Guinness replacing San Miguel as the main sponsor of the event because of possible bigger pay. Looking back, was it really a good idea to replace a sponsor that has sentimental tie to the region which is very likely to be there in the long...
Although BCA might be trade organization now, they are still the sole representative for North America recognized by WPA. Based on the current BCA ranking, Corey and Mike are the top two making them the first choice to represent the United States...
After wading through this thread and based on some of the posts even from the well respected members of board, the sentiment is odd and sad. It is as if players, spectators and hanger-ons should assume/accept that payment for US Open winning might be late because it is better than nothing.
After 2009 payment fiasco, prize money has to be put on escrow account. I can't blame ABP if they want some level of stability from every event they compete in specially the big ones.
Correct, but the other thing he is pointing out is that you can lose in pool without even had the chance to play at all. In golf every player got to play.
Just imagine a fishing sport where you have to stand on the side every time someone catches a fish and continue to stand there as long as...
