Nice tables but the balls are old and beat. I just wanted a decent cue ball. I was back at it today for a few hours. I did find two nail heads out a bit. Tomorrow I will bring a small hammer and a punch to tap them in. It’s just a senior community club house.

The one at 12 o’clock is my skylight it is below that also the one at 4 o’clock is my ceiling light. It’s the dull spot in the middle . I tried buffing it with a very mild abrasive, no luck .

As I'm getting more experience I am now liking harder tips. My new favorite is Toms Ultraskin HH. I have it on a Mezz HP2 shaft and the feedback is great and still grips.

Just ordered another 2 boxes . I play every day at the senior center 2 hours practice and 3 hours playing 8 ball. It is everything people claim it is. I don't chalk every shot , just on the important draw or spin shots. Other than that maybe every 2-3.

You are not alone. You pretty much described my issues . I just keep at it and look for the little victories to keep me going. I started taking lessons about two months ago. It has helped me see what I don't see.

I don't use a tip pick. How often ? Just look at the tip, if it looks like it's glazed and not holding chalk, just scuff it.
