    Full rack of 9-balls ?

I've heard that since the 8-ball is black it's more difficult to see the edge in poor lighting (resulting in more misses). Also heard something similar with the 6-ball on a green surfaced table.

    WTS McDermott M903

I'm listing this to see if anyone in the Orange County, CA area wants to buy a used McDermott M903. I'm asking for $400. Butt: 15.65oz, balance 14" from bottom Shaft: 4.05oz balanced 10 7/8" from joint Total is 19.7oz with balance 19.5" from butt. It has a laminated black with white speckled...

    Miscue Limit on Rempe ball

From what I remember the circle is 13mm. Each number is a half tip down from center of a 13mm tip. The 5th line would be 2.5 tips down and the actual contact point would be just under the "3" line. The cue should be 2.25" and a 50% radius miscue limit would be .5625" below center. The "3" line...

Importance of chalking when using a jump cue?

What if they wanted to draw the cue ball after the jump? I don't think it can happen without chalk. So, I don't believe chalk is needed for the actual jump, just for position after the jump is made.

    Corey's 10-Ball soft break

Even if Corey didn't pattern rack he would have hooked Warren on the 1-ball. I'm also sure that regardless of where he put the 2 he would know where it would go on his soft break to play position if he did pocket the 1. I heard the same comments about Dennis O. in the final match against Shaw...

    APA Rule Question

Found this on an internet search: http://www.poolplayers.com/documents/2012-Team-Manual-FINAL_LR.PDF I do find it odd there's a 23 cap for both 8-ball and 9-ball even though 9-ball has skill levels up to 9. Makes me believe it's harder to keep under the cap in 9-ball.

how much should go into the prize fund

I agree 48% of the total fees is low. I just wanted to verify how he got to this number. In my example the total payout would have been $4608 out of $9600. I just wanted him to provide the actual payouts.

how much should go into the prize fund

I think a little more clarification is needed. So, let's say here are the numbers and I'm multiplying his original info by 100. Per person, entry fee is $60, $14 registration & $26 green fee = $100/person. In a field of 96 that would be $9600 total in money. 96x$60 entry = $5760. 80% of...

    Predator Shaft.

What do you want out of the shaft (pure low deflection, feel, stiffness)? I think it's difficult to get opinions as everyone's game is different. Don't expect the shaft to immediately make you better; but there will be something in terms of confidence boost if you like what you play with. I...

    Shaft + Tip combinations

You listed 7 combinations over a span of 1.5 years. That equates to just under 3 months per combination (maybe less depending on frequency). I'd like to know if you actually had that much usage of each of the combos to get the actual feel. Also, I'm curious of the tip diameter of some of the...

    Mezz cue butt

WTB: Mezz cue butt This is a request to see if anyone is willing to let go of a used Mezz butt with linen wrap and united joint(without the steel collar). I'm looking to spend under $200 if possible. Send me a PM, thanks. BTW, located in the USA and would prefer avoiding dealing with customs.

Helmstetter TJ Cue with 30 Inch Predator Shaft

Would a normal piloted 5/16x14 shaft work on the butt? Looking at the design it reminds me of the Pechauer pro series. A normal 5/16/14 shaft would turn to the end of the threads but get stuck on the non-threaded portion under. The 30" shaft you have on the other hand should work fine on a...

    Todays Pros....

Just think how colorful rock bands were back in the day so it's not just pool players. In 40 years billiards may be played in 3 dimensional space with holograms. They'll think back and wonder how disappointing it must have been to be limited to a flat table.
