You're welcome, rj... I like your solution... makes sense.

My belief is that shortly after the tournament is complete, the IPT website will post exactly what each player earned... just like on the PGA.

Now I'm not suggesting that you do this for your contest ... but even if they didn't post each player's winnings, it's easy to determine. Simply go to the Statistics page and sort the data by Games Win % (by clicking on the column heading, which is a link that resorts the data)... and let's say you wanted to figure out you finished 110th, you'd simply count up from the bottom of the sorted list to the 11th person who won $7000... the person being in this example... Ronnie Wiseman... and he's going to earn $5713 for his efforts in this tournament (amount found in the Prize Money table).

See?... it's easy. :)

Thanks dave for your support as I don't see any other solution that is fairer than the one I've chosen.

The IPT better posts the stats otherwise for me it will be a big headache.
Yes I guess I could go to the list and one by one figure out where everyone finished exactly, however, it's not really that simple and is a lot of work.Already I'm spending an hour and 1/2 a day manually doing the stats.:(

Ok, no more whining! RJ is up to the task.:D

They are now showing actual payouts on the "Player Statistics" page. (Sorry you'll have more work, R.J.)

PS: Cigar Dave,
Are those Cuban Diplomatico #2's you refer to under your name? That's one of my favorite torpedoes.

Exactly brother... have you tried one from May of '01?... sublime!!

And I like your handle... Cuabas are delicious cigars. Got some more Distinguidos coming from my local IGBC... and have had the Exclusivos and the Solomones as a result of the same buying club... all very good cigars.

Where are you at in IL?.. grew up there myself and went to college there as well. You near Champaign?... not that I went to school there btw. lol

I'm about 2 hours from Champaign. I went to WIU.

You should see my stash: Cohibas, Trinidads, R & Js, Diplomaticos, Punches, Montecristos, etc., (I can't remember em all.) But I have smoked all my Cuabas (my favorites.)

I'll get more in Asia next month.

Attention money poolsters:

Exact prize money totals have now been allotted to each player lost (eliminated) from your team.Refer to the first post in this thread to check all the updated/editted changes.I got the official IPT stats to make such changes from this link:
http://www.internationalpooltour.com/ipt_content/events/06_wo_8ball_open/statistics.asp

I feel I've made these changes accuratley, however, feel free to check your own team and point any clerical errors I may have made.

Thanks RJ

Jeez, sorry for the extra work, particularly when, as you say, it may not matter too much in the end.

Fellow poolsters,

Now that the Ronnie O'Sullivan withdrawel situation has been rectified, I am re-posting everyones player lists in an orderly fashion.Everyone's list has been sorted out so that they are listed in order by odds as per the Stan James listings at this link:
http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=39898

I sorted everyones list because it is sooooooooooooooo much easier for me to do the statisics in this fashion.I also want to show those lurkers that didn't join in this time ,that we are running a welll organized pool here so that they will feel confident to join in on the next one. Yes we've had some glitches, however, as time goes on things will iron out and this pool will get better and better. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Although I'm pretty sure I've made no mistakes with this list re-organization, please feel free to compare your orginal list to my updated one to make sure.

Refer back to here for all statistical updates as the tourney progresses as I will be making edits to darken out(highlight in bold black )players from this master list as they are eliminated. Also in brackets beside each contestant will be the number of players remaining in the competition. Feel free to make any comments/questions to this post if you have them.

RJ

Hi Snapshot,

Interesting question you bring up.I'm not sure whether they used rounded off payout or sliding payouts in Vegas or not.As far as I know, this is something that they just started for the Reno tournament.Does anyone know?

Either way, it is not really a problem because there is only one winner in these pools and I would have won anyways, given my team and big money lead.It came down to a battle between myself and Roy Steffensen.I had Orcollo and Roy had Peach.

Orcollo made the final six and Peach didn't.Anyways provide for everyone's info I'll post up everyones teams once again for anyone who wants to check things over:
(as you can see below, I had 10 players who were in the $30 K range and above while daylateshort the runnerup had 8)

is this updated any place with the 3rd round?

I'm waiting to update yesterdays result, however, all the eliminated players are being listed with rounded off $15 K payouts. When the IPT website updates their EXACT payouts, then I will update.

Here's the link:
http://www.internationalpooltour.com/ipt_content/events/06_wo_8ball_open/statistics.asp

If there is another link with more up to date facts than this, somebody please let me know.
RJ

In the meantime, here is the order of ranking based on how many players the leaders have left.

The Kid... 17 players left
Mr.J ...16
Recoveryjones...15
Hob Weert....14
Cue Chick,Shane Sinnott,Cuaba,Daylateshort, Island drive and Time isnow ...13
Jerry OC 12
Beetle 10

Last nights analysis:
The Kid survived the Deuel scare maintaining his perch on top by only losing two players.Mr J was the most succesful only losing one player and vaulting from 5th to a solid second.RJ loses 3 players and maintains 3rd.Cuechick and Hobweert plummet to a six way tie for fourth losing 4 and 5 players respectivley.

The top three are in a dogfight with todays matches of vital importance.
Other than that everyone else can still win as long as one of their longshot
players can win the $500K first prize. If your longshots come 1st and 2nd, then everyones really in this thing.

Good luck to all.:)

Everything is posted and up to date only till the end of round three.I will post round fours updates tommorow morning as it's time to get some shut eye. Please refer to first post in this thread for round three updates.

Briefly, here's who's got the most players left, followed by estimated cash on the right of "players left number."Estimated cash is based on how many players one lost in round 4 x an average of $25K per player that they will soon accumulate. It's only a ball park figure subject to change when the exact numbers are tallied in tommorow.

The Kid... 12.....$195,549
Hoob Weert.....12....$164,316
Time is now... 12.....$128,221
RJ... 11.....$209,876
Mr.J... 10..... $225,174
Cue Chick... 10......$219,860
Island drive......9 $196,329
Daylate...........8.......$267,202
Shane Sinnot...8.......$250,543
Cuaba... 8......$223,142
Jerry OC..........8.......$216,411
Beetle.............8.......$188,822

IN summary:

As the stats show above Timeisnow is tied for the lead with 12 players left, however a considerable amount of cash($67K est.) behind "the Kid" and 36K behind Hob Weert also with 12 players left.Last night Time is now made a great comeback by only losing 1 player to get back in contention. All the other contenders lost 3 or 4, with Mr J and Shane S losing 6 each. Our leader "The Kid" fell back a bit by losing 5 to tighten things up.

Tommorows rounds are crucial and things can swing in a big way depending on how many of your players make the final 6.Basically this contest is like the TV game show called Jeopardy, where the final answer is critical and wins the match. You must have that one player who is going to win the $500K to win this thing.:) And if you get the 2nd place finisher($150K) right too, that can really help.

Because of that reason, a lot of us are still very much in it.:D
Stay tuned folks, this is getting exciting.:p

The stats for the end of round four are finally posted and completley up to date. Check the very first post in this thread to see the updates.I Would have posted them sooner, however AZ Billiards shutdowns and my obssesion with watching all the online live streaming video matches has caused a delay.:D

I've rated the contestants factoring in players left and money accumulated and have come up with this for what I'm thinking should be the correct standings:

1st...The Kid
2nd...Recoveryjones
3rd... Hoob Weert
4th.. Time isnow
5th...Mr.J
6th...Cue Chick
7th... Cuaba
8th...Daylateshort
9th...Jerry OC
10th..Island Drive
11th..Shane Sinott
12th.. Beetle

Round five is still in progress and I will update the results of it as soon as possible.

The Kid and I are running neck and neck as after today he'll most likely be up a bit of cash.

It's my Morris against his Deuel in one battle, as other than that, we have the same players.

Hob Weert will be right their if Orcollo gets knocked out and can catch Kid if Ortmann does well.I'm thinking.Other than Orcollo which is a must to go, the kid will need Deuel to out do my Morris.

This is what I see right now, however, it's unnofficial until I do the stats for round 5.Should have stayed in Nostroke.:p

Hope to have ya next time.
Take care,
