Pity the raffle is for USA & Canada only. I feel like I would have won ;)

I am guessing that either Jasmin Ouschan, Kelly Fisher or Line Kjorsvik will win this event. What odds do I get betting on these 3 against the field for $ 40?

We are looking forward to the WPBA stream this week and hope to see all the usual suspects in the chat room. We are also very excited about the GCV raffle that Robin is doing. The idea of picking up a brand new GCV, installed in your home, for only $20 is really very neat. And since the odds are so low, with only 500 total tickets sold, we are pulling for an AZB'er to win the table and then document in photos the installation for the forums.

More on the raffle when the stream begins.

I only have 184 tickets left and out of 316 tickets only 14 have been sold to local players. Hopefully this weekend or by the end of the month the rest will be sold...and the odds will be almost 100%...I for one will be very excited...I want someone from here to win too....Lord knows I have tried hard enough :)

Two probable favorites and a dark horse.

The nice thing about this Raffle the Table will go anywhere in the USA or Canada.

If you win and you want the table sent somewhere other than your home it is not a problem.

One time the winner (just married) was at the event when we pulled the ticket of course they were thrilled!!! But even more thrilled when the guy next to them said "I will buy it off you" they needed the money and everyone was Very Happy!!!

So Roy...if you feel lucky...this table will sell too :)

I'm planning on going down to the event and I was wondering if anyone knows the format. Like how many players in the field and how does it get whittled down each day?

I guess the question I have is if it's say, a 64 player field how does this thing drag on for 4 days? I suppose they could have just the final on Sunday but that still leaves 3 days to whittle 64 players down to the final 2. I won't wait to go on Saturday if there are only 8 players/4 matches. I'd rather go day 1 or 2 where all the players are there and I have more choice of what matches to watch.

I'm curious if anyone has been to a WPBA event before can enlighten me.

Also does anyone know how or where to buy advance tickets to the event? I saw nothing on the WPBA site nor anything on the casino site.

Thanks

Haven't been to an event yet but if past events are an example the first day is fun time. Getting to know pros, player meeting, pro-am doubles for charity.
Second day is usually first and second rounds and first round (maybe second too?)of one loss side of brackets.
Day three is getting the sweet sixteen sorted.
Day four is television rounds.
Have no idea about the advance tickets.

Howdy AZers,

Just wanted to let you all know that we've signed on as the Presenting Sponsor for the WPBA streaming matches for 2009. I'm looking forward to seeing the WPBA get more visibility online and hope to see you all in the streaming chatroom. Oh, and if you want to click the link from the stream and buy some stuff while you're watching I'd be ok with that too.

In all seriousness though, I wanted to thank the AZ community for all the support you've thrown us as a forum sponsor and everything you all do to promote pool.

See ya'll in the stream chatroom!

A couple players are returning. Tracie Hines and Jennifer Barretta are both in the tournament. Great to see them back. I would love to see Jennifer come back strong.

I am definitely looking forward to the stream! I missed out when the tour came to my area last year. It is a great way to see how it is run and what it is all about!! I think I will be rooting for Kelly. She seems to really love this event.
