I saw the new predator urbain case in vegas last month. It has a full length envelope type pocket on a hard case. Pretty unique. I ordered one yesterday and will post pix and review after it arrives.
Anyone else have any comments or got their hands on one?
I've had it for two weeks now and have take it to a couple bars and a couple pool halls; most people that see it like it. It is very well constructed and the large zippered pocket works well; but it is larger than I need. I have my cue extension, bridge, extra chalk, towel, tip tools, glasses, pen, and a couple other odd stuff. Still room for way more than I need. It'll fit a shirt, and removing the Velcro divider, could also hold a couple more cues; there are separate dividers for that specific purpose. This would actually hold 5 butts and six shafts.
The cue side is a hard case with thin felt or vinyl dividers; mine holds 3X5. the 3x5 was 219 delivered. Definitely not as secure as a JB interior. I feel the cues are well protected, but you have to be careful taking them in and out so you don't hit them together. I put the butts in first then the shafts, no problem at all. Case is light enough and YES, it is more like a cue/purse or cue/duffle bag (I prefer the duffle bag analogy).
It certainly is not as nice as any of my high end leather cases, but it is novel and I'll probably use it for a while and move on to something else as I normally do.
Overall, excellent construction, great zippers, mucho storage and not heavy at all.
Material is a strong woven fabric. Good thing is I put my car keys and phone in it and don't have to hunt them down. There are four nice pockets inside the storage area which keep all the junk from moving around.
