I love hybrid pro II, its my favorite shaft, but I duno what you are exactly showing us here, is this a good thing or a bad thing, or what....All I see is a burnt shaft

It is not burnt, it is the core you are seeing there. Carbon fiber I do believe.

I have a McDermott i2 shaft and it performs very well and provides a nice "hit" feel.

the first 5-6 inches of mezz hp2 has some foam into it. I had seen one broken so even though it is stiff it is still light weight on the front end and will give you a low deflection shaft.
