To be fair/ athletes who put it all out there without any filter will generate haters who are outspoken about it as well as fans who support them. I think Earl has both. I also think an athlete who has that natural ability to generate that kind of buzz is a good thing for a sport. Sure he may need to be kept in check and sure he can be a headache to some promoters but anyone who claims that he himself, with all that he has done, is overall bad for the sport just don't know imo.

Like you said an image of an athlete and the image of a sport is not near as fragile as some sensitive people here want to pretend.

Thats your opinion. This has been going on for years, if you claim to be "normal" then make fun of somebody who is sick - you are an ahole.
This is directed at whoever it applies to.

How in the hell can anyone damage the image of pool????? Nobody gives a crap about pool except a few on here. Every pro player in the world could die and all people would ask is did Minnesots fats die lol. The public doesnt have a clue and could care less.

TRY NOT TO ARGUE WITH IDIOTS BECAUSE ALL THEY DO IS DRAG YOU DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL & THEN BEAT YOU WITH EXPERIENCE.

If Earl had his head on straight he could still beat anyone today.

Its kind of sad. One thing that's a fact, is he is one of the greatest players to ever play the game. No one can take that away from him.
You cannot retire with dignity if you haven't conducted your career with dignity. Earl is/was a great player - one of the best ever in pool - but dignified? LOL

Earl can play until he's 100 and I'll watch every second of it.

Is he insane? Yes, definitely

Is he a bad sport sometimes? For sure

Does he wear beekeepers outfits and ass weights? Of course he does.

Can he still run the f*ck out at will? Pretty much...yes, yes he can.

Does he still make amazing shots with that sick stroke of his? Sure does, fun to watch!

Are a lot of his crazy theories about pool pretty much correct? Usually. I mean c'mon...jump cues? We should be able to jump with a Meucci!

The few brilliant moments here and there are worth watching. Hell, I even named my jump cue "little Earl"!

Poor analogy.

The difference between Earl and stars in other sports is they have to face consequences for their actions. Vick was in prison for awhIle. Remember?

What consequences has Earl faced for his behavior? Has he been barred from any tournaments or fined?

Do NOT waste your time. Hot is a MAJOR stretch. Room was nice and comfortable, but you seriously don't go there for any eye candy.
