Yes, I am excited as well. The 20th installment of the Mosconi Cup is exciting enough in its own right.
I still say choosing Earl was a mistake. I TRULY hope I am wrong, and he just keeps quiet and plays pool.
We want to see high team spirits, no matter what the score. No scrooges. I swear if Earl pulls some crap and embarrasses the team again this year I will NEVER forgive him.
Nonetheless, go U.S.!

I have the same misgivings as you. I am really hoping Earl can hold it together

Am I excited??? I am excited enough to have bought $450 dollars worth of tickets. I cant believe that I am even going. I have the event tickets and flight tickets to help remind me. My bucket list is so long I need two buckets to carry it, but this is one thing on that list that I will remove come early December.

I'm pretty excited, as every year. The USA lost something like 4 out of the last 5, but I recall that at least 2 of those four were very close.
I like Buddy Hall, so that's cool.
I'm not a fan of Earl the Burl's antics. I am a fan of his game. I think that if any group of team mates can handle his crap (if he does in fact act up) this team can.
I am disappointed that Hohmann is not on the team. This 20th anniversary cup does seem to have a throw back theme. I think that has something to do with why they put Earl back on (even knowing he has the potential to act up). I also think that if this year's cup were in Europe, they might not have put Earl on the team. But anyway, as far as Toasty goes, since there does seam to be a throw back theme here, why not Toasty instead of Boyes this year? Boyes will get his chances.
The American venue seems to always suck. I bigger, noisier place like York Hall would be great.
But yes, I am still excited about it.

I never plan on watching it live anyway, just You Tube. I stay away from AZ so I don't know the outcome until after I watch it on You tube.
