★ world 9 ball championship ★ qatar★

Shane is playing incredible right now. It's amazing to watch. He's up 8-0 against Dennis O. You can tell that Shane wants to win this whole thing BADLY.

Dennis running out... and rattles the 5 ball but it bounces out... SVB might have to play safe... NOPE SVB goes for the bank and nails it

I thought Dennis O was shaping up as the player to beat, but it shows that the differences are so small at the top level, that it only takes a bit of a bad run or a miss or two to stall a good run and have the opponent in the free-wheel zone.

Here you go. This is all the matches in the elimination so far. Higher-rated player listed first. "Upsets" in yellow. 12 out of 60 so far. Most were for matches with pretty close ratings. The biggest upset so far is Hunter Lombardo's win

Baby Ko beat Dechaine and Big Ko beat Carlo definitely not upsets, but the rates are very close, so that's not a problem.

I have to say pretty accurate rating system.

Btw, nobody care about the world ranking, it only counts for about the first 20, after that it's just a matter of participation

Very cool, thanks for the info.

SVB breaks and plays a great safe on the one. Dennis makes a good hit, but leaves SVB a long shot. There's some work to do in this rack.

EDIT: SVB runs out to the 5. It was frozen/almost frozen to the 9. He went for the breakout, but ended up too close to the 5. He played safe. Dennis hits the 5, but leaves SVB a shot again

Anybody watches Morra-Ko ? So sad Morra let Ko off the hook by missing 2 easy shots, should have been 6-3 for him, now it's 5-4 for Ko. Pressure seems to get into him now, but Ko's not playing as well as previous rounds, so still a balanced match

5-5 Ko/Morra.

This will be a tough grind by both players.

Also, Shane's dominance in this match has reduced Orcullo's normal pristine play to almost below average play. It happens like this to me and I guess on occasion it even happens to great players like Dennis Orcullo.
