Full field 160 players

Byes are because with 160 players you have to use 256 player bracket

Raga, Busty, and Kaci all three had travel visa issues and could not make it.
Any word yet if their visa issues have been resolved and will be attending the World 10 Ball? Of course who knows who actually got invites.

Another thing I like about events like this is that they bring some good players, that are not well known, out of the woodwork. Some of them are probably local champions in the area where they live, and they may have jobs that keep them from traveling to more tournaments. It's always nice to see guys like this mixing it up with the big boys and sometimes pulling off an upset.

Busty and Raga are stuck in the Philippines. (n)

Kaci made a post on facebook today saying he's getting ready for his trip to the states.

Any updates? Thanks
Play seems to have stopped a while ago for a second auction (of the last 32 players). That auction is about to end. So play should start again soon -- Biado vs. Orcollo on the stream.

Yes, between the guys who are highly capable players not good enough to be pros and the guys who may one day be good enough, I suspect there are about 100 such players in America at any given time. These players, some of whom probably don't even have a Fargo Rate, probably fall in the 710-740 Fargo Rate range based on their skills and they're all dangerous opponents that are good enough to beat a champion from time to time.

I agree 100% that their presence makes any event more special. Only a few events in America regularly bring such players out in droves, but three that come to mind are the Texas Open, Turning Stone and Derby City. Certainly, the US Open has always drawn them and, back in the day, the Sands Regency always drew them.

Why does Chris Robinson now go by Chris Reinhold?

One guy that comes to mind for me who fits that description is Brian Deska. This is a match of him from 2015 vs Earl in which he shot very well.

Along those lines, who is Sam Gilmer? He beat Corey Deuel 9-4. Must be a very solid player.

Wow, she finally stooped so low to play at a non WPBA event.
Well for the most part there are no WPBA events any more. Im surprised she was able to hold out this long. Karen doesn't play any longer and she took a job looking after old people somewhere.

Superb play by SVB against Atencio -- 7 B&Rs on 9 breaks, one 3-pack and two 2-packs. One missed shot.

Not a fan of Larry Schwartz doing commentary. He's commentating remote from Chicago. It should be mandatory for commentators to be onsite. There's no synergy between him and his commentary parter. I think JJ is slightly mifffed by this as well when he said, "We're here in the building, Larry."
